The headlight brightness on the 300 model are just terrible. I took it back to the dealership to try to adjust the lights. The dealer told me that these lights are not adjustable and this is how they came from the factory. I explained to them at night I drive with the high beams on and no other cars flash their lights. The low beams do not light up the road even with the fog lamps on. The dealership told me that this was a huge problem on the 200 series but have not heard about this on the 300. This is a safety defect which will result in death. This is a serious issue.

The vehicle is equipped with capsulated headlights, the left headlight has a halo and light pattern above the limit line that blinds oncoming traffic creating a hazard. Dealer refuses to do anything about it. Says many of the comparative cars have this pattern. It is very distracting to drive and dangerous for oncoming traffic. The headlights are adjusted to proper elevation.
This vehicle has very poor lighting output from the headlights. The projector lamps are terrible. There are no high beams. There is some type of shutter that moves to redirect the light. The high beams are worse than the low beams. Worse headlights I have ever had on a car I owned. This car is dangerous to drive at night period then add some rain and a construction zone and it really gets even worse. I have almost been in many accidents because of these lights almost hitting a pedestrians and other vehicles. I avoid driving this car at night at all costs. I cannot afford another vehicle so I am stuck with this vehicle I guess. I wish I would have driven this car at night before I purchased it because there's not a chance in hell that I would have bought it.

Headlights turn on and off by themselves while driving. At night sometimes they will go on and off and sometimes they will stay off. This is a very dangerous safety issue and the cars should be recalled. The car has never been in an accident or flood but has developed this electrical problem. Possible problem with a relay or body module. Dealer has no clue as why headlights are doing this.

Warning lights and instrument gauges will go on and off and while driving at night the headlights went out also. This is a real safety issue and have read other complaints about the same problem happening. Our car was bought new and only has 18000 miles on it.

While driving my 300, all the dash board lights will come on and the gauges will go all the way up, then back down. Almost as if I were just starting the vehicle. All will go back to normal quickly and my car never looses power. This may happen 10-15 times in 5 minutes. Now, the headlights will come on by themselves and go off several times. I can't drive my vehicle at night as I don't want the lights to go out on me. I feel sorry for the people in front of me as my car keeps turning the lights on and off. This is a serious safety issue. I have already read about several of the same problems and Chrysler isn't worried about their customers safety or looking into this issue. This should have been a recall as many complaints and issues there are out there. I would like to see Chrysler step up and take some responsibility for their product. After talking to the service manager at the dealership, he said that it could be the power distribution in the truck. It is a very expensive part to replace for a could be problem. It can't been tested as the problem happens so fast, they wouldn't be able to hook it up to the machine to read the problem. Having 4 daimler Chrysler vehicles, I would like to think that they would take care of their long time customers and look into the issue. This is a major safety issue and I would like to see a recall.

The contact stated while driving at various speeds with the headlights activated, the illumination became extremely dim and failed to project lighting to the entire road. There was a reduction in the visibility when driving. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer, who stated that the headlights functioned normally. Headlights go off and on randomly and blink frequently includes interior lights. Very dangerous at night. No headlights then they come back on.
I own a Chrysler 300 touring and I have a problem w/the headlights flickering this is extremely dangerous. I took it n but of course it does it randomly and didn't do it while w/the mechanic. I seen a video of the problem on u tube so I know there are others with the same problem how can we get this resolved before it causes and accident.
The contact owns a 2005 Chrysler 300. While driving approximately 55 mph at night on normal road conditions, the headlights blinked continuously until the engine was turned off. The warning indicators illuminated intermittently on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing on two separate occasions, but the technician was unable to determine the cause of the failure. Recently, the headlights failed to operate when activated at night. The vehicle has not been repaired. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was 15,000 and current mileage was 20,715.
Headlights will intermittently malfunction while driving. Sometimes one headlight will go out, sometimes both will go out. The dealer is telling me that the headlight assembly needs to be replaced for both lights. Many other owners with the hid headlight option are experiencing the same issue. Randomly losing headlights is definitely dangerous!.
Almost 10 months ago, I was driving in the evening with my headlights on when someone stopped me and told me one headlight was off. The headlight was turning off and on but would not go out completely so I figured it was just loose. Then the headlights were taking turns shutting off and on and at times shutting off completely. This is very dangerous so I avoid going out at night. When I could get the time off from work I scheduled an appointment with the Chrysler dealer and they said it was the right headlight modular and it would be approx. $900+ dollars to fix. I cannot afford this. Dealer said to check with Chrysler because it looks like a defect and they may have had a recall in the past. I am not the original owner and did not know if the original owner had this problem. I have only had the car for about 2 years. Please help me.
