Purchased used 300 touring Chrysler on April 2005 with about 25000 miles already we notice ever since we purchased our vehicle it has made a loud bang noise everytime we go on reverse and it seems it lags before getting in gear and lately it was starting to make that bang noise going forward mostly when accelerating fast, we were thinking of taking it in but have been putting it off due to our work schedules, well this 23rd of December 2005 while going to a friends b-day party the whole back axle broke off we were in a red light as it turn green I accelerated and we felt the car drop completely on the rear at first I thought I blew out the tires or something but as we pulled to the side we notice the tires were way inside the fenders. When I met the tow truck driver the next day in the morning we both notice the axles completely broken off from the chassis at that point I thanked god that it did not happened on the freeway when I had my children with me, on the way to the babysitter.
