4 Tire problem of the 2005 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 11/09/2014

I purchased a 2005 Chrysler 300 in 2012. The car came with 4 cooper tires, cs4-265r17. In November of 2014 I noticed a wobble when driving the car. So I took the car to be serviced (balance/rotation/alignment). After all this work the car still wobbled. So mechanic took off each tire to investigate. Which he came to the conclusion that the bands in the tire have seperated. I purchased a new tire because I don't want to risk the safety of my child.

10 Tire problem of the 2006 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 06/20/2007

I have a 2006 Chrysler 300 hemi. Every since I bought it, I've been having problems with my tires and recently noticed that they are wearing down unevenly and quickly. I only have 46,000 miles on the car. Soon after noticing it, I saw on the news that they were doing a recall on continental tires. Later on that same day, I talked with a friend who had the exact same car I have. He informed me that he had seen the recall on the news as well. He told me that he had called the number that was given for the company and that they had paid him for each of his tires and also replaced them. I've been trying to get in contact with the company, but I haven't been able to get a hold of anyone by phone nor email. I really need to find out more about the recall and how I can go about getting my tires replaced as soon as possible.

11 Tire problem of the 2005 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 04/17/2007

My wife's 2005 Chrysler 300 awd pulls to the right. Dealer service center told me all tires have abnormal wear that was called cupping, and that they should not be rotated they are in the best position. Also, an alignment cannot be performed because of the wear, but all tires should be replaced and quoted a goodyear tire price of $650. The tires are continental ch95 with sealer. The car has aproximately 18,500 miles.

12 Tire problem of the 2005 Chrysler 300

13 Tire problem of the 2005 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 02/10/2007

At 22,000 miles, the tires on my 2005 Chrysler 300c are completely worn. The tires are continental 225/60r18 and should last at least 50,000 miles.

14 Tire problem of the 2005 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 01/15/2007

I leased a 2005 300 c in December 2005. Currently, as of January 2007, I have 14000 miles on it. I took it to the dealer because it is pulling to the right and it shakes at 65 mph. They say I need four new tires and the tires are worn down completely. These are continental self sealing tires. The dealer also stated that Chrysler is no longer putting these "crappy" tires on their cars. I am furious about replacing tires on a lease car that only has 14,000 miles on it!!!!! chrylser can keep their cars!.

15 Tire problem of the 2005 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 07/21/2006

The contact owns a 2005 Chrysler 300. The contact called regarding the continental contitouring tires. While driving 45 mph he heard a loud noise. The driver side rear tire exploded, but the contact was able to maintain control of the vehicle. The road conditions were dry, and there were no injuries. The contact has the tire and pictures available. This was the second time this failure occurred. The tires were previously replaced by the manufacturer because they failed to balance. The tire mileage was 16,000. The current mileage was 43,000, and failure mileage was 43,000. Update 05/10/tr.

16 Tire problem of the 2006 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 07/03/2006

Acquired 2006 300c - 2/1/2006 - w/continental tires. Noticed cupping on left front tire at 3,00 miles. Dealer checked alignment, suspension, etc. And said: "everything is within specs" and rotated tires. Service advisor stated tires should be rotated every 3,000 miles (?????). Follow-up call w/service manager - stated that the continental tires are "very soft" and wear prematurely. Asked about the "cradle mod" - and he stated that the "cradle mod" and revised alignment specs would have been applied to this vehicle, since it is a 2006. Left front tire is now cupping again at 6,000 miles. Why are these tires performing so badly when goodyear tires (also shipped on this vehicle) are performing ok? why would Chrysler continue to ship these vehicles w/the continental tires?.

17 Tire problem of the 2005 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 01/16/2006

Goodyear integrity tires on new car worn to belt at 19,000 miles. I have been involved in 2 separate incidents where my car spun in a circle turning in an intersection at 10 miles an hour.

18 Tire problem of the 2005 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 01/04/2006

Tires on Chrysler 300c need to be replaced at 15,000 miles. Tire is continental contitouring contact ch95. May be safety issue as consumers are not expecting to replace tires so early. Continental says tires not covered until consumer replaces them, and Chrysler did not disclose these are very high performance tires and would need to be replaced every 15,000-20,000 and say they cannot do anything either. This may also be a problem on the Dodge charger and magnum also. Very pleased with the car, but not with tire wear and possibility of accident resulting from premature tire wear.

19 Tire problem of the 2005 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 12/18/2005

I bought a new Chrysler 300c in the spring of 2005. After 13,000 miles, I am told the tires are bad and I am being told I have to buy four more tires. I am not aware that they are high performance tires and am being told that continental will not cover the new tires.

20 Tire problem of the 2005 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 10/20/2005

Tires defective,I own a 300c Chrysler vehicle that have continental tires on it size 225/60hr/18 that am being told by my dealership [meadowlands of carmel,NY) that they need to be replaced, these tires should have lasted 60,000 miles and my vehicle only has 21,000 miles on it,and continental would only give me 50 dollars per tire, was also informed by service rep billy o'brien that they had another 300c that tires had to be replaced at 12,000 miles, and these tires are after market and they have less tread on them. If anything becomes of this letter I would like the continental tires that are put on Chrysler vehicles looked into, this could become a safety problem, accident waiting to happen. The tire size I mention was not listed on your form so I just clicked what you had.

The contact stated upon routine maintenance of vehicle the dealer informed the contact that the tires eeded to be replaced. The contact stated he should not need to have new tires because the tires only had 20,000 miles on them at this time. The dealer stated there were wires coming through on two of the tires. The consumer did have the tires replaced on his vehicle. The tires were the original equipment on his vehicle when purchased. The tire manufacturer is continental. The contact has not contacted the tire manufacturer, but has contacted the dealer of the vehicle. And they informed the contact that the tire manufacturer was the one who would warranty the tires. The contact stated he did have the tires rotated 3 times before the dealer indicated the tires needed to be replaced. The consumer did contact the manufacturer and they were not willing to assist.

26 Tire problem of the 2005 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 07/22/2005

Contact went to dealership to have inspection done and the car. However,it did not pass inspection because the tires were unsafe because of their condition. This was a safety issue because the owner's manual advised the rotation tires every 3,000 miles up to 72 months. She has done that, but the tires were worn out. She called continental to get the tires from the warehouse. The ware house did not have any of the continental, contours plus tires. She placed an order for new tires, but it will be approximately 2 weeks before they will be in. She talked to a representative at continental, and he told her the tires were good until 60,000 miles. Her car had 20,000 miles. She felt that people were being mislead by owner's manual as to how long tires will last.

27 Tire problem of the 2005 Chrysler 300

Failure Date: 10/14/2004

Goodyear tire. Integrity p215/65r17. This tire came with the vehicle when purchased brand new. The consumer heard a noise from the tire and went back to the dealer and was told that the tire was defective, however the tire was under warranty and to return it to the goodyear dealer. The owner later contacted the goodyear manufacturer who stated the tire was not defective. The owner took the tire to mr. Tire who inspected the tire and said that the belts had shifted within the tire. Provide further details.
