Screen turns black and green when on reverse or sometimes go black while driving, making certain controls like heated seats and heated steering wheel inoperable. The entire screen flashes with lines and flips between black and green. Issue happens intermittently, but more when putting the car on reverse instead of showing rear image it goes into a flashing green screen. Dealer tells me this is a common issue and usually they replace the entire unit which costs thousands of dollars. Issue has been happening for over 6 months and now car is 90 miles over the 36k bumper to bumper and had to open case with Chrysler to see if they can cover the repair/diagnostic.
If car is in gear and you get out of car without putting it in park, car stays in gear and rolls shifter dial is on the middle console mercedes and Jaguar models auto matically shut off ? or go to park if someone exits vehicle or door opens.
