While driving on the interstate at night, our 09' Chrysler 300 completely shutoff unexpectedly. Engine shutoff, loss of power steering, no power brakes. . . And worst of all, all lights shutoff! I drift off into the emergency lane (luckily minimal traffic) and stop. Put in in park and restart the vehicle. . . No warning lights, no issues, as if nothing happened. Continue on with life. . . Now a while later, I'm driving around a tight roundabout at a low rate of speed. And it happens again! loss of power steering in a turn at low speed, and the wheel gets ripped out of my hand as the car drives up over the curbs before I can stop with the now non-powered brakes on the car. Minimal damage to vehicle but enough to piss me off to know that this can literally happen at any time. . . Changing between having power steering to instantly none is a major hazard in a turn. I can deal with an engine turnoff, but this is a complete shutdown, as if the car was shutoff not recognizing a the key is there. Lights, radio, dashboard, etc. . . . All turn off (I'm guessing airbags too?) I have now researched this and I am far from the only one with this issue. It is pretty much narrowed down to a disconnect between the wireless ignition node and the key fob, and the module thinking the fob has been turned off when it fact it hasn't. Chrysler has recalled this part for model years prior, and after 09', but have seemed to skip the 300c for 2009. Well guess what, 2009 300c win module's are faulty also. . . And just as dangerous an issue as any other vehicle that completely shuts down randomly. This needs to be looked into and there needs to be a recall for 2009 Chrysler 300's for the win module and the key fobs! regards.

The service electronic stability control, service air bags and service antilock brake system indicator messages came on in my 2015 Chrysler 300c. After diagnostic, a code came up that my headlight housing has a short in it. I have replaced the headlight bulbs several time since I've has the car. It was also found that there is a manufacturer recall on parts of the air bag system but that didn't solve my issues. After spending several hundred dollars on electrical parts and labor I feel that Chrysler needs to take a closer look at all of the similar complaints on a car that is only 4 years old. All of the indicator messages came on while the vehicle was in motion. I drive mainly in a highway environment.

When in park my vehicle rolled backwards to the bottom of my driveway. I was able to make it happen multiple times. I was able to have my wife record it on video from both sides of the vehicle. It happened when parking partially on ice. The passenger rear tire turned against the roll of the vehicle. All 3 other tires rolled with the vehicle. My vehicle has the hemi 5. 7l, 5 spd transmission, awd, and my shifter is not the dial type but a regular shifter type. Is the passenger rear tire the only one that keeps the vehicle from rolling rearward while in park? I can provide the video evidence.

Depressed accelerator pedal lightly to proceed through an intersection. Roughly 10 mph into the acceleration the vehicle suddenly without warning accelerated on its own through the next intersection causing a 3 car accident and 4 people injured. All vehicles involved were disabling damage with mine being the worst, total loss. Air bags did not deploy causing injury to passenger and I resulting in seizures to passenger from head trauma. This defect of the vehicle has caused a major financial burden on me and my family from the date of accident and well into the future with my insurance rates since I have been deemed at faullt due to car accelerating instead of allowing me to stop.
Tl the contact owned a 2016 Chrysler 300c. While driving 70 mph and changing lanes, the vehicle started vibrating and wobbling abnormally. The contact determined that the driver's side brake rotor was fractured. The contact lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the guard rail. The air bags did not deploy. The contact was not injured. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a yard and deemed destroyed. The contact called riverland Chrysler Dodge Jeep at (985) 652-9600 (located at 601 belle terre blvd, laplace, la 70068). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 27,000.

Certain Chrysler 300c that were manufactured during the year 2011 that are not listed as a specific 2011 should be listed in the data base as for recalls with the following issues: abs/esc system. This should include the drive shaft heat shield. It shows to interfere when driving the vehicle by accelerating.
I fill my car up at gas station and while driving my car will completely cut off out of nowhere.
The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler 300c. The contact could not shift the vehicle out of the park position. The contact notified the manufacturer. An independent mechanic diagnosed that the brake inner lock return spring hook fractured. The VIN was unknown. The approximate failure mileage was 130,000.
Car stalls unexpected after fueling up.
This has happened at least 3 times in the last 2 years. I would fill up with fuel and after leaving the gas station the vehicle would stall causing me to lose power steering and brakes and having to stop in the middle of traffic. I received a alert from Chrysler last year but have misplaced the letter. It stated that if I experienced this problem that I should take it to a dealer and they would replace the gas tank.
The engine shut off completely while driving. This caused a total loss in power steering, head lights, and anti-lock brakes. Fortunately I was on a well lit road with a long straightaway and able to muscle the car to a safe stop. Had I been a few miles farther down the road I would have been on a winding road with no street lights. It would have certainly caused a major accident. I took the car into a mechanic and they found nothing wrong with it.
Filled up with gas. While driving 30 mph car stalled going down a hill and brakes became rigid. To try to avoid crashing into other vehicle I went over a sidewalk. Tire broke, hit a tree and had to shut off car to stop car as brakes were not stopping the car. Then I ended damage another vehicle because of busy traffic. This all happened because the car stopped less than 5 minutes after refueling.
Vehicle stalls in the middle of the road for no apparent reason. Vehicle stalled initially while driving 45 mph and I lost power steering and had to pull over to the side of the road to restart it. Dealer had vehicle for over 6 months and could not solve the stalling issue. Vehicle currently stalls while sitting at lights etc. Has not stalled lately while driving dealer finally released vehicle to me and basically said there was nothing more they could do as it was a manufacture issue.
Car was not able to be shifted in gear. I was in a parked status and could not pull the vehicle out of the park position. Aaa was called and they could not tow me because the vehicle could not be towed because they could not get it on the flatbed. Aaa dispatched another truck with a dolly and an ase certified technician who was able to pull the gear lever while pressing down on the brakes to release a plastic pin on the linkage cable that was keeping the leaver from moving.

Since last March my Chrysler 300c srt8 2006 is turning off the engine while in movement. I noticed the problem always happen when the fuel tank is full or or around 3/4. It's a very serious problem because I almost crashed the car many times considering that when the engine turns off the steering gets heavy and the brakes doesn't work properly. Now I'm not confident to put my family in the car because I am afraid to have a collision and hurt myself and my family. I made a research at the internet and I realized that a lot of 300c owners have the same problem that it's called as engine stall. Now I want Chrysler to help me to solve this matter considering it already happened several times and it's very dangerous to drive the car with this defective.
I pulled out of the gas station after topping the tank off with gas. At the first red light the vehicle stalled. It stalled again at the second red light. After I got on the highway, the vehicle ran fine again.
My vehicle brakes did not work & other problems with the vehicle & when I asked the dealer if there was recalls on anything they said no & I know there was some because a friend of mine has the same vehicle.
After filling the vehicle with gasoline it surges while gong down the road then dies. Vehicle restarts, may surge and die again, then drives normally tell next gas fill up.

After filling the car a Chrysler 300c stalls. This is now an ongoing problem as the car now stalls after fueling. The stall occurs mostly when stopped at a red-light or driving at a low rate of speed. It has now progressed to include when accelerating onto a interstate. The stall causes all safety systems to fail ie. Breaks, steering, et. I have called the local dealership and the Chrysler hotline 800-992-1997 and was informed that the national highway traffic safety administration, Chrysler will extend fuel-tank warranties does not apply to 2006 Chrysler 300c models. I was told the malfunctioning shut-off float and gas tank neck splash issue is not covered.
Right after gassing up, my car stalled at a red light. Restart, stall again while rolling (losing power steering and power brakes. ) restart and drive with heavy throttle to next red light, where car stalled again. Restart, go, then another stall when car behind me honks. Dangerous stalling in intersection. Problem remained until gas tank went down about 2 gallons from full. Problem continues to date, I cannot fill the gas tank.
After refueling tank I drove away from the pumps and onto the roadway, during acceleration to speed limit (50mph), at 25mph the engine stalled, with traffic quickly approaching I might add, and left me coasting. I was able to pull off to the side of the road thankfully, at which time I had to attempt a restart 3 times before it did start, when it started I had no issues for a few months. This exact situation happened to me every other month for a year until I learned to not fuel the vehicle to the top. It is a considerable inconvenience to not be able to fill the car to its capacity, especially on long trips. I am just afraid that this will happen, at any time, with no warning, quite an uncomfortable feeling actually. I hope for a satisfactory resolution to this issue. Thank you.
Every time the tank is filled to full this vehicle stalls. At 3/4 fill it does not occur. In light of the chevy cobalt tragedy perhaps a proper investigation into this defect will commence. This isn't a nuisance "temporary glitch" issue, because whenever a car loses power unexpectedly it should not be considered a nuisance issue. I experienced an engine stall at a high rate of speed entering a freeway just after fueling and my car lost all power. Half-baked suggestions like don't fill the tank full are silly. This is a serious issue that requires a specific repair recommendation.
After refueling engine stalled. Hard restart in busy traffic. Problem continues today.
Car stalls about 1 mile after filling up with gas. Has stalled going low and high speeds, leaving me with very little control of the vehicle . A mechanic recommended that I fill up before its under half full but that doesn't seem to help any. Now I fill up before I go into a nearby grocery store and afterwards I start the car a few times and it seems to prevent it from stalling. Last week my husband decided to drive it to work (long drive) and didn't take my advice during fill up and it stalled shortly after getting on the highway.
