The contact owns a 2008 Chrysler Aspen 4x4. While driving 25 mph, all of the emergency warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle lost power and stalled. The vehicle was towed and diagnosed that there was catastrophic engine failure due to a fractured timing chain. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that the vehicle was too old and had too many miles; therefore, they could not assist. The contact was advised to call NHTSA. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000.
