One problem related to hydraulic power assist steering system has been reported for the 1999 Chrysler Cirrus. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While traveling west bound on I-10, a vehicle cut me off my lane, I swerved to the right and at this moment the car left the road the right ,came back across the road to the left traveling w/b in the median for a shor distance before going right crossing back over I-10, striking a guardrail, flipping over it and coming to a rest against a tree. I tried to correct the car but took of to the left very sharpely, I was unable to control the car which I suspect was due to faulty steering mechanism. Please advise if any other accidents have happen similar to mine due to steering failure.
