Hood problems of the 1997 Chrysler Concorde

Two problems related to hood have been reported for the 1997 Chrysler Concorde. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Hood problem

Failure Date: 06/20/2001

While checking the battery the hood fell down.

2 Hood problem

Body shop said entire hood must be replaced because it is coming from under the hood and not rusting from the top through the hood. Estimated cost was $950. 00. Chrysler has a 5 year warranty/100,000 miles on rust on this vehicle. Please advise as to what to do immediately. Thank you.
