Two problems related to automatic transmission column shift have been reported for the 1998 Chrysler Concorde. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Gear shift lever is very hard to move. Sometimes needing both hands to put it in gear. Sometimes it will not come out of reverse and go to park.
The column gear shift is to hard to shift when nessesary. Spouse could not shift into park and had to leave car in drive position on two occasions and call for help. She has since refused to drive the car. The car could have rolled after leaveing the vehicle since she failed set the parking brake.
