Three problems related to hood have been reported for the 1999 Chrysler Concorde. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The consumer stated that the cowl molding flew off hood and hit the windshield. The windshield did not break. The vehicle was a 1999 Chrysler Concorde. The consumer contacted Chrysler, and the consumer stated that Chrysler did not know what the part was called. The consumer then called the dealer, and they had one in stock. The consumer did not plan on replacing the part.
The cowl panel replaced by hood molding 4805701ab, change of design from original molding that blew off. The consumer was driving. On a windy day. The cross wind from an open panel truck caused the cowl panel on the hood to come off. The panel hit the windshield but caused no damage.
The plastic piece on the hood blew off while driving 60 mph on the highway. The manufacturer stated that several other vehicles experienced the same problem, and the part #4805701-ab was on back order.
