Three problems related to loud engine noise have been reported for the 1999 Chrysler Concorde. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact owns a 1999 Chrysler Concorde. While driving approximately 30 mph on normal road conditions, the contact heard a loud noise coming from the engine. The vehicle stalled intermittently and the check oil warning indicator illuminated on the instrument panel. The warning indicator remained lit until the engine was turned off. The vehicle was driven to the contact's residence and inspected by an independent mechanic. The technician stated that oil sludge caused the engine failure and it was recommended that the engine be replaced. The vehicle is currently inoperable and has not been repaired. : the contact stated while driving 65 mph on the interstate a loud noise was heard and the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was maneuvered off the road and towed to the dealer who determined the crank bearing fractured and the engine needed to be replaced.
Door's automatic locking mechanism/ power windows failed, and engine was making loud noise . Also, and front alignment malfunctioned twice. Dealer notified.
