Two problems related to car stall have been reported for the 2001 Chrysler Concorde. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving on a side street at 25 mph vehicle stalled. There was noise under the hood a couple of hours prior to stalling. After being towed to a mechanic then a dealer, consumer was informed that the engine was shot, and there was not point in replacing the engine. Dealership arrived at this conclusion without taking the engine apart, leading the consumer to believe that this was a common problem with these engines.
While driving vehicle stalled. Consumer was able to restart vehicle five minutes later. Then vehicle stopped again. Consumer had the vehicle towed to the dealer for inspection, and mechanic determined that engine needed to be replaced due to sludge built up.
