Chrysler Concorde owners have reported 8 problems related to air bag light on (under the air bag category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
There was no accident involved. All of a sudden the air bag light went on and it started to ding on and off. Took to mechanic who took to Chrysler dealer who said there was a recall back in 2000 regarding the fact that there was a recall concerning the seat belts affecting the air bag light. No one could find anything wrong with the car except the air bag light continues to go on even when the seat belts are not connected. It is really bothering me as I drive and this noise keeps binging and the light stays on. What is the solution???.

Air bag light came on six months ago and never went off. Called two dealers, one wanted $80 to investigate the problem, 2nd said it's probably the "clock spring. " air bag, horn and cruise control are all disabled. Does not fall under any warranty, I don't feel I should have to pay for the repair, this is not a routine maintenance item, it should be warrantied for the life of the car. Called Chrysler customer service (ref. #14889231) no help there, not under warranty.

Beginning in 2005, the airbag light on our Chrysler Concorde dashboard began intermittent on/off while driving. The problem persisted, but knowing it was out of warranty and how difficult electrical problems are, we ignored it. Finally it remained on in 2006 and in 2010 we had the airbag module replaced by our dealer. The repaired failed and now seems to be a defective wiring harness. The car remains at the dealer. The pare is unavailable and the cost could be thousands for a car worth 7k. Has Chrysler had problems with this module or harness that could have be a safety recall?.

The air bag light would intermittently illuminate while driving at various speeds of 0-30 mph. The vehicle has been to the dealer and several sensors were replaced. The problem keeps recurring. The consumer requested her money back along with a new vehicle. The transmission shifted erratic at times, there was belt noise at the idle, then engine made a ticking noise through out the day and the dealer was unable to duplicate the problem. The camshaft position sensor was replaced. The rear light bulb was replaced.
Consumer states that the air bag light is on and will stay on, contacted dealer and the dealer will not be able to get the parts in until decemeber. Nlm.

Airbag light comes on while driving. Chrysler made several attemts to fix. The last time it came on (June 2000) they found trouble code in computer but could not find anything wrong. It seems to happen only in warm weather. Dealer told me they could not guarantee that airbag would work in an accident.
