The consumer stated that her husband put their vehicle in park and got out of the vehicle. When he got out of the vehicle and closed the door, his vehicle began to roll forward. She stated he tried to catch it, but could not. He stated that the vehicle rolled down an embankment and damaged the front and side of their vehicle. No one else was involved. She states that they received a recall notice about 2 wks ago, but forgot exactly what it was for. She stated that her husband could have been seriously hurt if he had stood in front of the vehicle.

The column gear shift is to hard to shift when nessesary. Spouse could not shift into park and had to leave car in drive position on two occasions and call for help. She has since refused to drive the car. The car could have rolled after leaveing the vehicle since she failed set the parking brake.
