Shifter pin to interlock cable broke off causing the ignition key to become removable while the vehicle is in any gear. Yh.
Vehicle was left in park with the motor idling. It rolled up the owner's driverway and crashed into the garage, then shifted into reverse. Owner managed to turn off the ignition and stop the vehicle, brakes would not stop it. Dealer said that owner must not have placed the transmission completely into park. Could find nothing wrong.

While driving and upon turning ignition off, without the key in the ignition, gears moved. Consumer states shift does not lock in park when key was removed.
