Chrysler Concorde owners have reported 3 problems related to equipment (under the equipment category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Equipment problem of the 1999 Chrysler Concorde

Failure Date: 09/18/2013

Yesterday I had to go to the hospital because the trunk lid fell on my neck when I was unloading my trunk. This car has an electrical trunk that opens and the trunk also, has a spring air rod that controls the hold of the open trunk. I know this failed because the trunk just lost its hold all of a sudden and landed on my neck. As I tried to lift it from above me (its very heavy- big trunk), my left hand index finger broke and my left arm and hand are in pain. Not to mention, the severe pain I am undergoing with my neck. I also bled a lot and immediately went to the emergency room. I believe this can be a manufacturing defect due to the excessive weight of this trunk door and the device being relied on for the control of trunk.

2 Equipment problem of the 1999 Chrysler Concorde

Failure Date: 08/08/2013

The molding between the hood and the windshield flew off as I was driving in the freeway. I was driving like I normally do ( approx. 65mph), when fwy is clear of cars; this is not reason enough for this car part to fly off. Luckily, fwy was clear, if not, I could of had an accident since it affected my visibility while driving. Once I replace this, I wonder if next time. . . Will I have an accident? how to ask they install it so it doesn't fly off? dealer says they must install it per manufacturer requirements but the normal way it comes from manufacturer doesnt work cause it eventually flies off. I noticed there are countless complaints regarding same issue with ntsa. How many complaints are necessary for it to be recalled?.

3 Equipment problem of the 1998 Chrysler Concorde

We purchase a jayco fold downtrailer model 1406 with atandem axel. We were told we could tow it safely with our Chrysler Concorde. They attached a trailer hitch to the rear of the car with bolts. After travelling at legal speed limits for only 1500 miles.
