The hydraulic struts that hold open the trunk lid on my 2001 Chrysler Concorde lxi have failed resulting in a painful bump on the head for yours truly. I fear for the safety of anyone who uses the trunk for any purpose, especially family members. It seems to stay open ok during warm weather.

Trunk lid would not stay up when opened. Unexpected injury could occur when the truck was opened. Dealer was notified, and informed the consumer that this vehicle's trunk was not covered under a recall.
While the trunk lid was opened trunk support struts failed. This caused the trunk lid to close onto the consumer's head. Dealership was notified, but did not resolve the problem.

Plastic trim molding, that is between the glass and the hood, is rattling severely. Consumer feels that this molding may fly off at high speeds. Also, trunk lid springs failed to keep the trunk propped up safely.
