Vehicle Speed Control Problems of Chrysler Concorde

The car completely lost power while on the highway. This occurred on a few occasion but this was the scariest. Losing all power I could only steer wheel and slowly move to the access road. Also there has been times where I am stuck at a location because car will not start. Battery is new so I do believe there is a manufacture malfunction and or faulty parts/components.

Our 2000 Chrysler concord shot out a parking spot when my husband started the car. Toyota isn't the only vehicle with this fault. Children nearby were just missed. The car brushed one teen. We never had any previous issues like this. The car sped out of the space, hit another car in the next section over which hit another car in the next section over- not next to- but parking sections apart. All three vehicles were significantly damaged. Daimlerchrysler denied any malfunction. We had financial loss as a result of this incident.

When the consumer placed her foot on brake, to place the gear into reverse, the motor started revving up. Then all of a sudden it just jumped into reverse, car spun in a complete circle hitting another car.

While driving at any speed vehicle stalled. Vehicle was driven to the dealership, and technician replaced throttle sensor, but problem recurred.

The vehicle was in an accident due to a malfunction of the engine. The vehicle unexpectedly began to accelerate. The owner shut off the engine and applied the brake, but the motor was going at such a high speed, the vehicle did not stop. The police did take a report. The consumer was looking for a place to park when all of a sudden the vehicle had gone at an uncontrollable speed and when the consumer shut off the ignition and braked, the consumer hit a parked vehicle.

Consumer states that the vehicle would accelerate without warning. Dealer notified.

I had just pulled into a parking space and was about to shift from drive to park when my 1999 Concorde took off jumped a curb stop and hit a tree, where the engine continued to accellerate and the wheels dug 5-6 inch ruts in the ground, before reversing jumping back over the curbing and stopping. The whole time my foot was also on the brake which didn't respond.

Consumer states that put vehicle in gear and accelerated and vehicle took off full throttle. Nlm.

While in traffic took foot off of brake to proceed and car accelerated very fast into traffic. Dealer could not find anything wrong. Problem found on the internet.

I was at a car wash with my car running and in park. I shifted when my car surged backward out of control hitting the car behind me. When I put the car in park after the crash the engine was roaring. No one was injured but it did over $800. 00 damage to my car and $3000. 00 damage to the car behind me.

Car had been returned to driver after coming out of a car wash. Vehicle accelerated out of control, causing an accident and fatality to the driver of the Concorde.

Vehicle parked 1 hour. Started vehicle & it accelerated at wild rate of speed. Had no control. Applied brakes which failed to stop vehicle & went into 6 feet of water. Taking vehicle to dealer.

My wife was backing out of a parking space when her car surged out of control, hitting a repair vehicle and grocery cart stand. Most of the right side of the car was damaged. The dealer has declared nothing wrong with the vehicle, but this was an uncontrolable situation and only by luck was no one hurt.

When putting transmission lever into reverse vehicle will shoot back at a high rate speed, causing a loss of vehicle control. Dealer was unable to duplicate condition.

In the process of taking off with vehicle in reverse the vehicle took off forward. On another occasion while the vehicle was in reverse the vehicle took off backwards on its own without any warning. Dealer and manufacturer have been notified, and the source of the problem could not be found.

Car accelerated on its own. I had to hit a tree to stop the car. The air bags did not deploy upon impact. Tires continued spinning after impact until I turned off ignition. More detailed report was sent to NHTSA web master.

Driver turned on the ignition , with foot on brakes shifted to reverse, slowly released brakes, when it shot backwards in extreme high speed ,hitting a rear parking cement wall.

Hi I need to ask if the probelm on the search page . Of the car surging out of controll and hiting thing or killing the 2 people . I wont to know if the problems all from the same person. I see most of the complaints are from a person or a state which I do not know. But it end in . Is this a person last and frist mane. Or is this a stat in which it happen . I just got my wife this car one day ago . Because it help her back and it was a smooth riding car. Can you email back or call me if it is a problem I need to know what I can do to fix it or get the dealer to fix it . . Thank you I need to know so I can save my wife from any harme. While driving about 25 to 30 mph driver approached a red light, took foot off the accelerator, and applied the brakes,then put foot back on the accelerator, and vehicle stalled. . All dashboard lights came on as an indication that the vehicle had shut down/stalled. Vehicle stalled.
