4 Car Will Not Start problem

Failure Date: 01/17/2014

The skreem (sentry key remote entry module?) failed while my daughter was pumping gas. Evidently, the car cannot be started if this module is not functioning properly, thus leaving my 17 year old stranded. After much research, mostly via Crossfireforum. Org, it appears as though this part has an extremely high failure rate. My understanding is that the engine and components are essentially the same as the mercedes slk and that mercedes recalled the compatible module, but Chrysler didn't. Moreover, this particular part can only be ordered and programmed by a Chrysler dealership, which means no options and big bucks! please look into and monitor past and future complaints concerning this poorly designed/manufactured essential component in the Chrysler Crossfire. Thank you for your time and effort on our behalf.

5 Car Will Not Start problem

Failure Date: 10/17/2012

I'm the owner of a 2004 Chrysler Crossfire. My car will not crank-up anymore because my key will not completely turn. I called for a locksmith and he informed me that my key cyclinder needs replacing and only a Chrysler mechanic (approx. $1200) should repair it. I've found that this is a common trend with all of the Chrysler Crossfires, 2004-2008. I believe this to be a manufactory defect and warrants an investigation and recalled.
