1 Ignition problem

The contact owns a 2005 Chrysler Crossfire. The contact stated that he attempted to start the vehicle but the engine would not start. The vehicle was towed the dealer for a diagnostic and stated that the lock tumbler needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 50,785.

2 Ignition problem

Failure Date: 06/02/2011

The contact owns a 2005 Chrysler Crossfire. The contact stated that when placing the key in the ignition, it would not turn. The vehicle was inspected by a dealer who advised him that the housing, cylinder, and the key all needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000. The VIN was unavailable.

3 Ignition problem

Failure Date: 07/15/2010

Ignition key mechanism does not work without moving the steering wheel back and forth until it releases and allows the key to start the car. Everytime the car is stopped, it can take up to 5 or more minutes to restart by moving the steering wheel back & forth while trying to turn the key. Dealership has no answers. Says replace parts are on national back order. This has been happening since we purchased the car in Feb of 2009.

5 Ignition problem

The ignition has locked up and will not turn, also the headlight coverings have turned very cloudy limiting sight distance when driving at night, in the rain, at dusk, and dawn, and during fog.

I own a 2005 Crossfire with 23300 miles. My ignition key began to "stick" when starting the car. It stuck about 2 weeks ago but I was able to start the care after 15 minutes of trying. Yesterday the ignition stuck and I was not able to start the car. I had the car towed to a dealer in san jose CA. The service writer told me he had another Crossfire in for service for the exact same problem.
