Failure Date: 06/16/2016

Takata airbag: the drivers side airbag can rupture, resulting in injury or death. However, Chrysler indicates that a remedy is not available, and has disabled the airbag, rendering the vehicle undriveable without putting the driver at unacceptable risk. Dealership indicates that they have no time frame for repair, as a suitable repair has not been identified and they do not know when it will be resolved.

2 Side/window Air Bag problem of the 2005 Chrysler Crossfire

Failure Date: 08/12/2005

Airbag on driver's side curtain deployed when vehicle hit something on the road. She was going about 60 mph. Dealer said the manufacturer told them that she must have hit something which caused her air bag to deploy and they considered it a collision. Manufacturer said the same thing. Caller was injured by airbag.
