Spare Tire problems of the 2005 Chrysler Pacifica

1 Spare Tire problem

Failure Date: 02/01/2006

2005 Chrysler Pacifica spare tire is not safe to use temporary. The owners manual indicated that unequal tire size may cause failure of the power transfer unit and/or viscous coupling. The consumer feels that the doughnut spare is inadequate and request that the manufacturer provide him with a full size spare. The current spare is a 18" goodyear spare. The vehicle came equipped with 19" michelin tires.

2 Spare Tire problem

Failure Date: 09/16/2005

Dt contact stated two tires blew out. The first tire was the drivers rear tire, and the second tire was the passenger's rear tire. The tires were regularly serviced. The contact'sx husband burned his arm getting the spare tire from under the vehicle. She contacted the dealer, they referred her to the tire manufacturer. There was some type of black power inside of the tires. She contacted bridgestone, and they offered her no assistance.
