The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that the subframe was completely corroded. The dealer stated that the subframe needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 127,000.
When I had my car in to fix a front end problem last year I was told two of the three motor mounts need to be replaced. Now when having a tie rod replaced I am told subframe brackets are rotted and need to be replaced. A car that is five years old should not be rotting from normal driving. Engine mounts on a car should not go after four years.
