Driving on major highway at 70 mph, car suddenly lost power with no warning other than a message on dash parking brake may temporarily be unavailable, car did not shut off but gas pedal unresponsive. Pulled over, turned off car, restarted, put in drive, car did not move. New message: service trans, press brake when stopped, key off engine to engage park. Previous two days, had trouble ,took 4 try's to start car from key fob. Car has 30391 miles, I have owned it 2 months. Had to be towed to dealership.

My van on multiple occassion has stalled in the middle of city intersections. While driving my car will have an electrical meltdown. All different warning messages will appear on dash, warning dings will go off, my wipers will go on without me turning them on, when I push the gas it will not drive. On one occasion the car accelerated without pressing the gas or if the gas was pressed it would accelerate more than the pedal was being pressed. All my buttons on my dash including a/c, auto start, back up camera/sensors will not respond. Its as though my car just dies. This occurrence has no common scenario that brings on the malfunction. I 've had times when it malfunctioned weeks apart and this last occurrence it was a year in between occurrences. I was told on a Chrysler forum to check my pcm. My batteries have been tested and passed. I currently do not have my aux battery installed as I do not want/like my autostart feature. This accident occurred all 5 times with my aux battery installed. My dealership said "too many electrical parts to check" and "we cant duplicate the problem/get error code to diagnose so take the van back till it happens again and call us while its happening and drive it in". First its unsafe and unpredictable. I have tried getting this fixed and they can't even/wont fix it or buy it back. No lemon law as I am second owner, not purchased new and the problems started happening at 34000 miles right before warranty expired. This vehicle is unsafe and Chrysler won't fix it/don't know how. No remedy after 2 years and 6/7 shop visits. I have opened a case with fca twice and they threatened me to pick up vehicle or they would charge me for the rental I had. Others have experienced this. Look at Chrysler Pacifica and voyager van on facebook.
Entered freeway battery light came on and lost power. Starting exiting freeway then car excelerating on its own. Engine was reving and humming so much I thought the engine would catch on fire. Car would not slow down. I had to put it in neutrual and hit the brakes as I exit the freeway to safely parked. Called tow truck for service.

Purchased 2019 Chrysler Pacifica limited in July 2020 with just over 30,000 miles on it. Last week the master cylinder for the braking system started to act up. When sitting at a stop light/sign the brakes start to make a loud hissing sound and push back against my foot forcing me to push the peddle all the way to the floor with more force then should be needed. This causes the breaks to disengage and the van rolls. I am forced to put the van in park at stop lights so I will not roll into traffic or vehicles in front of me when I am supposed to be stopped. Sometimes I am on a decline or even just sitting on a straight away waiting at a stoplight/sign. This is a major safety issue as I have my kids in the vehicle 90% of the time. I am not the only person with this same issue that I have seen on the forums and NHTSA this needs to be addressed.

Electric panel fried. Driving all of a sudden on highway my power steering light came on jerked me to the right very hard and the in lane light pop on that's turned off in my van. And all of a sudden jerked me extremly to the left. Good thing traffic wasn't going to fast I would of been dead. When ever you would accelerate it would do it again. I was trying to get in the slow lane to pull over. Figure the car needed to be turned off and reboot computer. That didn't help as it proceeded to do it. So got off the highway. Car only has little over 28,000 mile s in it.
On four occasions, I started the van and it immediately became locked in park mode with a notice about electronic stability control issues. You can't turn off the vehicle or take it out of park. Chrysler is buying back the vehicle because they can't fix it.
I'm in a parking lot getting ready to leave. Tried to start the vehicle and I received a service shifter prompt. It will not start. I've been here for 45 minutes.
Multiple times our 2017 Chrysler Pacifica has revved up, then stalled. The screen tells the driver to put the car in park. I did, then was able to put it in drive again. Sometimes it completely stalls, other times the rpm increases then the car decelerates and I cannot drive over 20 mph. This has happened while driving slowly at an intersection as well as driving on a highway.
Vehicle stopped starting - the following issues were being displayed. 1. Vehicle not in park, service trans stope safely shut off engine to engage park, service electronic stability control, park sense unavailable, service shifter problem. Unable to operate tail gate, unable to operate sliding doors the vehicle was in stationary model while motion I am having issues when speeding up from 20 to 30 miles per hour the car stalls and then picksup car was in idle state and suddenly the car stops responsing.
My van is constantly stalling. . . Weather its me taking off after a stop or driving through town my van is always jerking me around. I have taken it to the dealership multiple times but they have done nothing to fix the issue. Now my van wont start and multiple codes came on when trying to start my van. Something with my powersteering being locked, service electeonic stabiliry control, service antilock break system, park brake temporarily unavailable and powersteering unavailable.
Car will stall out while it's in drive, but braking. Yesterday it did it as I was turning left in the middle of an intersection. It stalled and turned off the engine flashing fcw/ lanesense unavailable restart required. I then will have to shift to park and restart the car. This has happened several times and Chrysler has not fixed the issue.
I returned home from driving a half an hour in my vehicle and when I pushed the start/stop button to turn the vehicle off it would not go completely off. The engine turned off but the sensors and radio would not turn off. Normally it shuts off when you open the door and it still would not work. So then I messed with things a bit and made sure all doors were shut. When doing so the back left door would not latch all of the way. It would go to shut and the open again before latching.
My engine shuts off when it is idle. The start/stop battery was replaced 5 months ago.
Several times, while driving 20-30mph as well as when stopped at a red light or a stop sign, the car has lost power steering (steering wheel locks, brake seems to lock in place), unable to accelerate or decelerate, dashboard flashes some message along the lines of "stop/start required" or "shift to p then desired gear", but even when attempting to shut off the car and restart, sometimes this does not even work. At times it has taken 2-3 minutes to even get the car to shut off completely in order to try to turn it back on (as if the car is completely frozen). This has happened on side streets, as well as at a stop sign and a red light on a busy road, which left me blocking traffic for several minutes, unable to operate my vehicle. This has happened at least 5-6 times in the last year, most recently twice in the last week.
26 June 2018, I leased the 2018 Chrysler Pacifica with the s appearance package VIN: 2c4rc1bgxjr293041 from ourisman Chrysler Jeep Dodge ram of alexandria, 5900 richmond hwy, alexandria, va 22303. First complaint: on Thursday, June 28th at 8:51am I reached out to mr. Bernard parker explaining to him the console was shorting out and at one point it had completely shut-off. . He instructed me to bring it back in and have it replaced so that Chrysler would have a record of the issue. -- this issue happened within days of purchase. Second complaint: on Monday, oct 1, 2018 the same 2018 Chrysler Pacifica with the s appearance package stalled, then shut off while driving home from real estate class (6 months pregnant). Suddenly for no reason, without warning the vehicle lost all electricity (including power steering, engine, interior and exterior light. ) right after flashing the following error: service electrical stability control, park brake unavailable, battery light, enter auto theft code, stop safely vehicle will shut off soon and other numerous errors. As the van slowed to a crawl, and passing vehicles drove by nervously trying to avoid hitting me, I edged off into a school parking lot. My vehicle was towed to ourisman Chrysler of bowie MD, 2406 crain hwy, bowie MD third complaint: on Sunday, Dec 8, 2019 the same 2018 Chrysler Pacifica with the s appearance package stalled then shut off on my husband, again, suddenly for no reason, without warning the vehicle lost all electricity (including power steering, engine, interior and exterior light. ) right after flashing the following error: service electrical stability control, park brake unavailable, battery light, enter auto theft code, stop safely vehicle will shut off soon and other numerous errors. Fortunately, my husband was able to coast it into the garage as it shut off, never to start again.
My car will stall out on me while driving. The screen will flash stability control error and requires me to put it in park before restarting the car.
Had auxiliary battery replaced approximately 5 months ago because the ess was not functionally properly. No problems until today 11/9/19 while on vacation in washington DC. The engine shutoff totally at stop light. Put car in park, depressed brake, vehicle started and ess warning light stayed on and no other lights came on, pulled out of traffic into parking lot and vehicle was slow to accelerate at first, turned vehicle off myself, let it sit a minute. Restarted vehicle with no problems and ess light was off. Called dealership where I purchased vehicle and Chrysler customer service about what happened. Neither on had any ideas or suggestions except to take to dealership. Dealership did say might be oil change was due or oil was low. Had oil changed about month ago. Said they had not received any complaints about this 11issue.
While coming to a stop on a city street van loses all power and stalls after making a clicking noise. I have to put it in park and start the car again.
Yesterday morning my battery voltage while driving was fluctuating to low erratically. When I tried to make left turn the battery voltage immediately dropped down drastically to point or cutoff and nearly caused a collision. It then jumped back up to 14. 4v and held that consistently. A few hours later it dropped down while driving. The dashboard didn't have any lights lit and the battery strength was fine other than the erratic fluctuations. I googled and saw there was a recall for this issue on my vehicle type and year. Phone dealership to tell them my car was unsafe and performed erratically because of battery issue. Despite the article from may 2019 pertaining to this same exact issue, they said I didn't have a recall on my car. I did research and it showed the stalling I've experienced was due to battery connector issues. This morning I got into my vehicle just fine. Turned on car and immediately the battery voltage gauge on dash was erratically fluctuating non stop forn10 mins and the car was sounding like it was shutting on and off on its own. The dash lit up and now a icon for emergency steering pops up and stays lit. All of this relates to the mandatory recall article in may 2019 but the dealership says otherwise. Not feeling like dealer is being honest and has best interest of my safety. I attached pic in upper left corner of the emergency steering icon that stayed on as well as shows my battery charge as fine at that moment but was erratically fluctuating when I took the pic this morning.
Van will randomly not start after just being driven. Dash board lights up and engine clicks but will not turn over. Several messages come up for service. (see pictures attached. ) has happened once before about 2 weeks ago and there's no explanation as to why it started back up after about an hour of problem solving. Battery was fine. Headlights, horn, inside lights and radio all worked fine. When clicking on parking brake button, the lights flash on the dash and can hear clicks but won't turn on the brake.
Tl- the contact owns a 2019 Chrysler Pacifica hybrid. The contact stated while driving 73 mph, when warning message showed up on dashboard "stop safety, the vehicle will shut off soon". The contact able to park the vehicle on the side of the road before the ignition turned off. The vehicle was not drivable. The vehicle was towed to local dealer jimmy britt Chevrolet Buick GMC located at 1011 town creek blvd, greensboro, GA 30642, (706) 453-2500, where it was diagnosed with needing abs control module and transmission to be replaced and 113 error codes. The vehicle has not been repaired as of yet. The manufacturer has been informed of failure. The failure mileage was 730. Dp.
Lane sense behaves erratically in certain circumstances; alerts loudly and request hands be placed on the steering wheel when they are already on the wheel and am traveling safely within a lane; no lane changes. Has alerted in driveway as well and alerted for service. Took to dealer and they could not replicated or determine problem. They provided informational flyer on lane sense but it does not match reported conditions/alerts I received on auto's console. Consistently fails and behaves erratically going northbound on golden gate bridge - in all lanes and on multiple occurrences. Occurs in various environmental conditions from fog, clear day, rain, etc. Occurs in motion and when car has been still/stopped (in driveway. ) system alerts and then automatically deactivates itself. I don't know that manufacturer and dealers have full understanding of behavior; especially the detection of what the car believes are no hands on the steering wheel/feedback torque.
Power will be loss including radio frequently. When driving at low speeds such as in traffic the engine will stall and jerk.
Car stops and sometimes it doesn't turn on.
I purchased my vehicle 10/29/18 and its been a great vehicle til about July 2019. I have taken it to the dealership for them to fix a clicking noise in the front left side and everytime they change a bunch of parts but dont fix it. Now its a loud squeeking noise everytime I back out my driveway or pull off in drive. Ive taken 3 times and they cant figure out what it is. Ive have to rent a vehicle and the dealer also let me use a 2 door loaner knowing I have 4 kids. They keep saying bring it back Monday. Well thats only 1 problem. 3 times already when I put my car in reverse my backup camera comes on but dont go off when I put it in drive. So while im driving down the road my backup camera is on and is very distracting and dangerous. This past weekend my husband was driving while we were going somewhere, well we were in traffic on a very steep hill so he had to stop. When he went to step on the gas to go the car wouldnt go. It was like the car wasnt getting signal that the car was in drive. It was very scary. So many problems with this vehicle and the reason I purchase the 2018 Pacifica was because I heard it was a good car and dependable as I have 4 children that I have to get to and from school , doctors and sports. I really hope someone there at Chrysler can help me out.
It started with car not starting battery low , once it would start 1 of the windows rolls down by its self , when driving and stopping at a stop light, it would stall had to put it park to get it to start if lucky it would start right away . Once had it not want to start all the lights in the shifter were on ,and could not turn off or on had to unplug battery to be able to start . There was a red dot on the dash and it was saying ign stability failure was also having transmission kick with force like I got hit from behind.
While stopped at a red light, the auto stop engaged. When taking the foot off the brake to disengage auto stop, the vehicle stalled out in the middle of the road. Multiple attempts were made to restart the vehicle. Hazard lights were enabled; however, the entire vehicle eventually shut down, including the hazard lights. This vehicle had been driving on the highway and city streets for the previous 20 minutes without any indication of the impending failure. Dealership service department initially believes fault lies with the battery, but how did the car get 20 minutes from home on a dead battery???.
We have rented a Chrysler car for 1 day from budget rentals to take us from raleigh, nc to dulles airport, va. We drove the car to DC. We did setup the cruise control on 76 speed in 70 mph zone. The police stopped us on the I-95 in va and gave us a speeding ticket, according to him, we are driving in 86 mph. We did not realize the speed because not too many cars around, driving around 3am. We were so surprised about that ticket and how could this even happen. We thought that we were mistakenly reading the odometer readings. We received the ticket with reckless driving of 86/70 mph. We took deep breath and started driving again. We said ok let's setup the cruise control this time to 75 and watch it carefully. Within less than 20 seconds from setting up the cruise control, another police stopped us with speed of 85/70 mph, reckless driving. We had no idea what is going on. The two tickets were about 5 miles apart on the I-95, va. We decided this time not to use the cruise control and follow the cars flow around us. We did that for the rest of the trip, driving without the cruise control. All of the previous problems were nothing in comparison to the following. As we driving in va, around 7am where many cars on the I-95 to follow their pattern. We said let's just setup the cruise control for few seconds and compare it to the cars beside us. We setup the cruise on 75, we noticed a significant speed increase. I pushed the brakes, it did not stop this time. The car was driving in higher speed. While I was trying to act as fast as I could, I pushed the brakes and switched the stick from d to n. I tried to disable the cruise control this time, it did not work. We parked in a near gas station, took deep breath, turned off the car, went to the bathroom and got back on the road. Thankfully, the cruise control was disabled.
Both stationary and while driving. Headlights went out. Windows wouldn't roll up or down. Windshield wipers stopped working. Speedometer stopped working as well as other gauges. Shifter locked up. Fuse box under hood beeping loudly. Very very dangerous!!.

Electrical and sensor issues. When my 2018 Pacifica is started in the morning I receive a fcw (front crash warning) after driving approximately one half mile and stopping at a stop light near my house. I have the gas saver on and my van will usually shut off. When I stop at the light, the console will flash fcw when no objects are in front or near me as well as two other censors flashing. The van completely shuts down and then flashes "start stop required". I then have to place the vehicle in park, turn it off, restart it, then shift back to drive all while in at an intersection. This has happened at least 12 times and creates a risk of being rear-ended. Since we purchased the van in August 2018, we have had: the uconnect center replaced on September 7 2018, the radio improperly activated or turned off incorrectly completely draining the battery requiring tow and service on April 12 2019, and the fcw was supposedly repaired on may 21 2019. Although it was "fixed" the fcw alert has occurred 3 times since it was returned less than 3 weeks prior.
I've taken my vehicle to ocala Nissan shortly after purchase and explained to them that the vehicle was jerking around 15 mph. They tested it and said nothing was wrong because the problem could not be duplicated. The next time I took it I drove with a service advisor and the vehicle did not duplicate. However on the way home it did. The advisor recommended me take the vehicle to be assessed @ my expense. I couldn't afford it at the time so I waited until an oil change was due. On may 15th chryster did an assessment and did not find a problem. They even drove my vehicle 19 miles! the advisor even mentioned that there were stored codes on my vehicle, but did not do any repair! today may 19th my check engine light is on and my vehicle is slow to accelerate!.
The steering wheel pulls to the right or to the left while driving at highway speeds. Happens randomly never know when it will turn in either direction. When driving at 60-65 and passing a slower vehicle, it often requires firmly guiding the car against resistance back to the lane. Requires driving while grasping the steering wheel firmly to prevent the vehicle from veering from its path. Will also occur at lower speeds but not as often. Also, when driving on an expressway the steering, sometimes but not every time, becomes unstable if a truck passes it. In those instances, it veers to either the right or the left. The concern is that it could veer directly into the passing vehicle if the driver is less than alert and not firmly grasping the steering wheel. During a lifetime of driving, I have never before experienced a vehicle that felt as dangerous as this one. I took it to the dealer who proclaimed it in perfect running order. I filed a complaint with the Chrysler (case number 58533009) and was advised to take it back to the dealer and try to convince them to take it on a test drive. However, the dealer said they test drove it, which is doubtful since the mileage number did not change while it was in their hands. The dealer highlighted a comment on a report titled 08-electrical/be-electronic control modules/module, electric power steering (epsm)/description and operation that reads: variable servo steering: when the speed of the vehicle is increased, the module reduces the amount of assistance to the column. Possibly Chrysler, in that statement is revealing that the steering mechanism is unsafe at highway speeds.
Two incidents which happened within 4 months of each other. I have had the car less than 9 months. Most recent was April 3rd, 2019. I was waiting at a traffic light when I went to let my foot off the brake to drive when all of sudden the car stalled. An alert came up on the screen to tell me the there was an issue with the electronic stability control. I had to turn the car off and back on again to get it to drive. I had two small children in the car both times it has happen. It's my only car. It says there is no recall for this. When you google this problem though apparently it's very common with this van and Chrysler has no fix. Many people had this happen to them while the car was in motion. This is extremely concerning & you should demand Chrysler fix this issue please.
While car parked, turned car on, car stuck in "run" position, unable to change gears, unable to turn car off.
