Five problems related to trunk lid have been reported for the 1999 Chrysler Sebring. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Trunk lid will not stay up. Problem began intermittently at approximately 10,000 miles, possibly dependent on air temperature; by approximately 20,000 miles trunk lid will not stay up without being propped. Numerous injuries to head, neck and back, over the eleven years I have owned vehicle.
Trunk lid does not stay up - must be propped. Multitude of failures have caused injuries to head, neck and back.
Trunk lid will not stay up. Will slam closed if not propped open. In the past there have been a multitude of these same complaints, including ones I have filed, but no they are no longer on the list.
Trunk falls without warning - has hit me on the back, head and hand on multiple occasions, causing severe bruising, but no broken bones, yet.
Trunk lid in raised position will suddenly drop closed.
