Four problems related to brake electric antilock have been reported for the 2000 Chrysler Sebring. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Brakes frequent replacement of brakes required on 2000 Sebring.
Nar 1/15/2003. The consumer was unable to get the abs to activate or the wheels to lock up on dry pavement. The consumer stated on wet surfaces, the problem was magnified because when the abs did activate, it reduced the brake pressure to the point that they were completely useless.
Upon depressing brake pedal to make a gradual stop, pedal went to the floor, causing extended stopping distance and vehicle went through a stop sign. Dealer unable to determine problem.
While driving 30-40 mph went to apply the brakes they locked up. Rpms were racing up to 6000. Took to dealer, had brake repaired. Problem still not remedy. Please provide any further information.
