Engine Stall problems of the 2004 Chrysler Sebring

Three problems related to engine stall have been reported for the 2004 Chrysler Sebring. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Engine Stall problem

Failure Date: 09/09/2005

I have had recurring problems with the engine stalling when the engine is hot. After driving for some time on an interstate, the car will stall when taken down to a lower speed- like getting off the exit ramp, or just braking to slow down for traffic. This has happened no less than 20 times in the last year. I have been fortunate to not have an accident- the car just stalls in the middle of traffic on the highway, exit ramp, or intersection. I have taken it to the dealer 3 times for the problem, and they say they cannot recreate the problem and just reset the engine timing, etc. It has happened as recently as this week. I have just read at least 24 similar complaints on this site- I had no idea it was common. The dealers should have a remedy for this by now. I am scared someone will plow into me. This is my fifth Sebring convertible and now I will never buy another one.
