My son was driving forward up a hill. While driving the car started rolling backwards while in drive gear. Then while the vehicle decided to roll backwards in drive gear he was unable to stop. Since my son was unable to stop he put the car in park the vehicle still continue to roll backwards. As a result my son jumped out of the vehicle and the vehicle rolled down the hill and hit a tree and boulders. Had the vehicle towed to the dealership and they found nothing wrong. However a witness seen what was happening to my son in disbelief. This vehicle is very unsafe for anyone to drive,.

2 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 05/20/2019

Tl the contact owns a 2010 Chrysler Sebring. While driving 35 mph, the contact had to depress the brake pedal multiple times to stop the vehicle. The contact was able to drive at slow speeds to his residence. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the brake booster needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the failure was associated with NHTSA campaign number: 10v009000 (service brakes, hydraulic). The local dealer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 118,000.

3 Service Brakes problem

The contact owns a 2010 Chrysler Sebring. The contact stated that while traveling 70 mph, he attempted to apply the brakes and experienced a vibration in the steering wheel. The vehicle was able to be driven to the dealer where the failure could not be replicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted about the failure. 4 Service Brakes problem
