My passenger airbag spontaneously deployed without an impact when it was parked. This shattered the windshield and expelled plastic dashboard pieces and glass everywhere. My daughter and I had just exited the car so there were no injuries. Had we not stopped this may have deployed on the road or if my passenger had waited in the car caused serious injuries. I contacted chrystler to report this safety issue and they said this is no longer their responsibility due to my cars age and environmental factors. This happened 7/9/25 and the damages and airbag system is available to inspect. I have witnesses to seeing the deployment without impact and awaiting video footage from the business. No warning lights on the dashboard occurred. This is a very well maintained vehicle with very low miles.

At the time of collision the airbags did not deploy correctly. The airbag seems to have burst at the seams and projectlies of debris and chemicals came from the air bag instead. I hit my head on the windshield and hit my chest on steering wheel. I was burned on my arms, hands and ribs/chest. I have pulmonary and neurological injury. As well as changes to my sight and hearing. My car filled with thick "smoke" that was hot and made us choke and gasp for air. We breathed in these chemicals. My two disabled children were also injured by the chemicals.

Air bag light stays on at all times and it put fear of safety issue is a wreck is to happen. Driver seatbelt light doesn’t go off, it’s as though when putting the belt on even though it’s latched it isn’t and causes the warning light to stay on.
There were 7 recalls on my make, year, model vehicle. Three of which were brakes, air bags, and the tpms tire monitoring system. Other body parts, doors and hood releases had recalls along with hvac/air conditioning systems. Radiator/fan motor failures. Doors flying open during transit. The abs control module could cause the brakes to lock-up during braking. Shorts from unused connectors for the computer/tpms system/brakes and air bags have been causing many unpredictable breakdowns. Some predictable, from past records, state recorded instances from 180,963 vehicles that just failure of the tpms monitor system has already caused engine no start, dead battery, inoperable cruise control, remote start system, engine stalling which could cause a "crash without warning". . The horn on my 2005 Sebring will randomly sound and will not stop until the steering wheel is beat upon or violently shaken up and down. The horn does not work on it's own as a safety feature. It will happen at any given time, while driving or sitting parked. In order to avoid this, the horn must be disconnected.

Takata recall - there hasn't been one on this vehicle. Will there be a recall??.
Horn stared going off on its own, while driving or just sitting, then the transmission started lagging, rpms drop while I'm driving and am unable to get back up to speed for a minute. I drive on the interstate daily for work and both of these are a huge hazard for me and other drivers. I assume the problems are related being as they both went crazy at the same time. While driving on the interstate to work my car just sort of died without dieing the rpms dropped and the car tried to die but diidnt. The gas ped stopped working while this was occuring and I was unable to get back up to speed. It eventually kicked out of it but did it again the following week, driving out of my parking lot at work rpms dropped and was unable to use my gas ped. I gotit again to get out of it but all its going to take is this happening and a car behind me and and accident will happen.
Takata recall ? spontaneous combustion both airbags deployed while driving.
I have attached the paperwork 4 my 2002 Chrysler Sebring. As you can see my first payment was April 13th 2018 this was my deposit $700. Again on April 24th I paid another $600. May 20th I paid another $700. June 5th I paid $105. June 5th is when I took possession of the car. July 1st is when I had the car accident, where I was informed that the damage on the car was so severe because the undercarriage was all rusted out. The car was totaled. The first day I took the car home the battery was dead I had to buy another battery for $75. I noticed the car was bottoming out I told the mechanic jim who is also the man that sold me the car and he assured me it was safe. They had three months to check the whole car out and make sure it was safe and it sat in the same spot until I picked it up. Now either they never checked the car or they checked the car and sold it to me anyway. The way I see it is they were wrong either way. Not to mention that jim the so-called mechanic is the one who sold it to me. Right after the battery died the radio took a crap. They also charged me extra 4 tax tags and title which was supposed to be included in the $2,000 that they wanted for the car. I tried to negotiate with them seeing that it was under a month that I actually had the car in my possession I explained to jim what the police told me about being all rusted but they insisted I had the car too long and that they weren't going to do anything about it. So here we are. I have a personal injury case going on right now, I was told I needed your type of attorney to fight llapi auto sales hudson fla. Flora is the person who "made the sale" (her number is 727-478-5632), but it was jim the mechanic who really sold me the car, that's why I trusted his word it was safe.

Air bag code flashing.
Horn blares randomly and cannot be stopped without removing the horn relay making the horn (a safety requirement) inoperable. Dealer was able to repair the issue, however, at a cost of over $672 as the dealer marked the replacement part 1az56xdvae driver airbag. Many owners likely would not get this issue repaired due to cost thereby driving a car with unsafe equipment.
