While driving approximately 25 mph I crossed over railroad tracks in the road. There is only a very small bump going over these. The front drivers side wheel came off. The lower ball joint pulled out and pulled the front axle out. The vehicle only has 91,000 miles on it. There was no warning that this was going to happen. I was driving in normal traffic. And was unable to move the vehicle out of the traffic lane. Vehicle had to be towed. This happened yesterday 7/10/21. I have seen other reports of problems with this but vehicles have higher mileage than mine. Is there not a recall for this?.

9 Wheel problem of the 2000 Chrysler Sebring

Failure Date: 10/23/2015

Ii took my car in to have the tires rotated and I was told I need new tires. My tires have only 20k miles and a 60k mile warranty. The tire shop called falken was given the run around for over a week by the manufacturer. I consulted online forums and checked w/ several tire shops and was told that the falken ziex 912's had wear problems and that falken had cut the warranty to 40k miles and they wouldn't sell them. Consumer reports highly recommended them in 2010 which is why I bought them. Many people online only had them last a few months and one lady I recall 6 months and all got no held or relief from falken. Why weren't these recalled and pulled from sale? falken told the dealer I would need to buy new tires and then they'd consider maybe reimbursing me a small amount. I am disabled on a fixed income and cannot do this and I do not trust falken or their brand. I need tires for my car now and don't know what to do.

I was pulling out of craft street onto south main st came out wide then straightened out my cumbys chug jug cup was loose in the cup holder on the passenger side. It tipped over under my feet and, it rolled under the brake pedal. We both tried to reach for the cup at the same time. As soon as we looked up we were heading into a parked vol KS wagon. I tried to hit the brakes and, my foot slid off the brake pedal and, hit the gas instead. I turned the wheel as soon as I saw that we were about to hit the car.

12 Wheel problem of the 2004 Chrysler Sebring

Failure Date: 08/28/2014

I bought my 2004 Chrysler Sebring sedan in February of 2014. Two months later in April the ball studs on my tires were popping off while while I was driving and my car started wobbling. I took my car to the place where I got it from and they fixed it. Two months later in June the same thing happened on the same tire. The ball studs flew off while I was driving and the tire was hanging on by one ball stud the others were broken off. I had the car towed to the shop and it was fixed. Now in August my ball joint snapped as I was backing out a parking space, with no warning. The whole car fell to the ground. This car is a safety hazard and there is no reason why the ball studs and ball joint should break so easily. If I was on a residential street or even on the parkway I would've lost control and crashed.

18 Wheel problem of the 2004 Chrysler Sebring

Failure Date: 06/01/2013

This was a mater of severe injury and property damage and could have been death or maiming. Travelling to a normal stop at an intersection traffic light, being the first car to the light on flat pavement, the car's front passenger side lower ball joint came out of its socket and the car skidded to a halt on the pavement riding on the undercarriage of the vehicle frame with the whole tire and brake assembly dangling by the brake line hose outside the wheel well. How could Chrysler be allowed to send a faulty life safety device such as a this critical steering, suspension ball joint that human life depends on into the public for sale? I am outraged that my wife could have been killed by Chrysler's slipshod engineering and product placement. There is no doubt in my mind that if she had been on the highway travelling at a high rate of speed I would be calling a funeral parlor today to make arrangements today for her burial. She was minutes away from travelling to a higher rate of speed when she left the shopping center. Thank god the light turned red. I hope someone at nhsta can do something about this terrible and dangerous life threatening vehicle on the roadways for the sake of Sebring occupants and other vehicle occupant's who are at risk of death if nothing is done to correct the issue or banish the vehicles altogether from roadways. Three Sebrings passed us while we waited for the tow truck and those people are at the same risk of death by driving those cars. Chrysler should be held responsible for their careless and negligent actions. And, they should recall all of these products to provide a safe alternative at no cost. I am out mental anguish and property. They know their business and they take the liability so they should be responsible. In am very happy my wife didn't get killed. I have all pictures of the accident if you need them. Thank you.

19 Wheel problem of the 2008 Chrysler Sebring

Failure Date: 07/26/2012

Tire pressure monitoring valve broke off while trying to remove valve cap to add air. This could have happened while driving as I barely touched the valve cap. This is the fourth one that has failed in this manner. The aluminum valve stems become brittle and fail easily. This is a defective part was on the left front tire.

20 Wheel problem of the 2001 Chrysler Sebring

Failure Date: 02/14/2012

On February 14 2012 something on my left driver side wheel broke, I could no long steer and the wheel laid outward toward the ground. There is a long arm like part, that was literally hanging off the wheel. It is now unoperable. This is very dangerous and I am so glad I was only going about 30 mph due to traffic, I was able to move to the shoulder without a auto accident.

21 Wheel problem of the 2002 Chrysler Sebring

Failure Date: 01/05/2012

Why is Chrysler allowed to get away with their rim problems? we have had issues with two separate Chrysler vehicles' rims being unsuitable for consumer safety. One caused a blowout on an interstate highway, the other causes constant air pressure issues. The rim actually has a corrosion crack on the flat part of the rim, not even on the bead (that is the problem with the other rim). If you have a Chrysler, have your rims checked regularly. Chrysler conveniently kept this off their warranty program. Perhaps they knew something???.

24 Wheel problem of the 2008 Chrysler Sebring

Failure Date: 09/03/2011

I reported these problems back in September 2011 after I was involved in a car accident on the freeway. On September 03, 2011, I was driving on south I-43 freeway. When I attempted to make a lane change, my car went out of control due to steering failure. I could not steer my car, my steering wheel was very loose and there was no connection between the steering wheel and the vehicle itself. I was struck by another driver that hit my car on the passenger-side by the rear lower side panel. No airbag deployed. My car slammed up against the concrete wall barrier on the passenger-side of my car. I have side airbags, airbags in my seats, underneath my dash, in my steering wheel, one on the passenger's side above the glove compartment, and in all four window seals of my car and not one airbag deployed. I have adr system in my car that supposely can record seconds of activity at the time of the accident. What happened to that information? I am still experiencing problems with my care that is definitely a safety issue such as; continuing replacing tie rod and the stablizer bar loose. This problem started first having problems trying to turn the key in the ignition switch to crank the car and at times fearing that I might break the key in the ignition switch and having to really wiggle the steering wheel to get the switch to turn over. Pictures that were taken by my insurance company revealed a lot of rusty old looking parts underneath the car when in fact the motor of the car still looks new. My car was only two years old with a little over 17,000 miles at the time of purchase in October 2010. When I reported these all of these things in September 2011, I was told that there was no recalls on my car and I doubt if this car has any airbags in it. I learned after, I had the accident in my car, that the car had been wrecked and had possible frame damage at the time of purchase.

25 Wheel problem of the 2004 Chrysler Sebring

Failure Date: 07/20/2010

The rear wheel bearing on 2004 Chrysler Sebring touring failed.

26 Wheel problem of the 2002 Chrysler Sebring

Failure Date: 05/10/2010

On may 17,2010 while driving to college, I noticed a loud whining rough sound, and every time I hit a bump it would sound like something was loose coming from my tires. Before, I could stop to see what the problem was, my steering wheel locked and my car ran off the road when I attempted to regain control my Sebring over corrected and entered a counterclockwise spin. I crossed 5 busy lanes before striking a ditch. My car stopped opposite direction of oncoming traffic!!! July of 2013 I had my lower control arms, and ball joints replaced. And again in February 14,2014 I had to take my car to the shop again for lower ball joint disconnect and replace lower control arms. And again this year February 24, 2015 for the exact same thing; replacement of lower control arms and lower ball joint. This car is very hazard I was blessed there were no injuries in 2010 when I had my accident! every time; I drive this car I am so frantic of knowing around the time I am going to hear that sound of something rattling and sounding like loose bolts coming from the tire. My 15 year old daughter this year, made the remark;" mama I hear that rattling sound again!" please someone, somewhere; do something about the costly repairs on the Chrysler Sebring 2002 cars. The economy is not cheap to live in, especially when you are fixing the same repairs year after year on the only vehicle you have. And yes, I do have all receipts on repairs and accident report. Thank you very much for your time and consideration of helping.

27 Wheel problem of the 2006 Chrysler Sebring

Failure Date: 05/06/2010

I continue to have chronic "rim leaks" that began in July 2009 resulting in random flat tires. The local tire shop repaired and re-sealed all 4 tires on the 1st occurrence. A single tire then had the same problem in Feb '10, and another tire in may '10. This is a safety problem as the situation is entirely random and has no connection to operation of the vehicle. The vehicle only has 36k miles.

28 Wheel problem of the 2007 Chrysler Sebring

Failure Date: 03/08/2010

While my 2007 Chrysler Sebring was under warranty att around 20000. Miles I reported a noise/vibration on the left rear wheel. The dealer fixed something but I continued to hear noise. So before warranty was up in August 2008 I took it back and they replace the left rear wheel bearings. In March 2009 while I was at the tire store to purchase tires the salesman there said my left rear wheel was dangerously ready to fall off. I called the dealer and they said to bring it right over and they fixed it even though it was now out of warranty. Now, one year later my left rear wheel bearing is gone again. The dealer is apprehensive about repairing it and the service manager said we should not drive it. I would like to know why it is going out all the time it has 60000. Miles on it and needs it's 4th left rear wheel bearing. None of the other wheels are affected. Please help now.

29 Wheel problem of the 2002 Chrysler Sebring

Failure Date: 12/20/2009

Forced to replace all my tires once, and bring my car into ntb multiple times regarding my tires going flat despite that the car could sit in my garage all week, after speaking with ntb they said they deal with these things all the time, a Chrysler pulls in and he can tell you exactly what is wrong with it. The wheel rim on the chrome ones, are corroding causing a rim leak, this causes many uninformed customers to go out and buy brand new tires when this is not necessary, it also forces customers to waste time either by having their car checked out every month b. C of these leaks or make them stop at a gas station and fill their tires up with air like I do. I please ask you all who read this to write to Chrysler to explain to them this poor performance, I have read others complaints which could lead to blow outs, as far as I last checked this is a major safety issue that needs to be addressed and addressed now! this is ongoing for over a year.
