Two problems related to speed control linkage have been reported for the 1996 Chrysler Town & Country. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
When the cruise control is engaged, the van accelerates passed the set speed. The cruise control does not disengage when hitting brakes or turning the system off. The van has to be put in park or neutral to disengage cruise control. Owner took van to the dealership, cruise control cable defective.
When pressing the accelerator to increase speed, the throttle stuck, causing the vehicle to increase speed. Please provide further details.
