Dash Wiring problems of the 1997 Chrysler Town & Country

Three problems related to dash wiring have been reported for the 1997 Chrysler Town & Country. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Dash Wiring problem

Failure Date: 05/13/2002

Instrument panel cluster module was replaced at 64,000 miles. Problem has reoccurred, and cluster needs to be replaced again. Dealer notified.

2 Dash Wiring problem

Failure Date: 11/27/2001

Consumer experiencing problems with the instrument clsuter module gauges and overhead computer malfunctioning. Also service engine soon light is illuminated. Dealer suspected an electrical problem and stated that battery needed to be replaced, consumer refused repairs, consumer believes the problem that other Chrysler vehicle are having, he is experiencing the same problem, the manufacturer recalled 2 Chrysler vehicles and consumer believes that other models should be included as well.

3 Dash Wiring problem

Failure Date: 07/01/1997

While the wife of the comsumer was driving the vehicle about 45 mph. The dashboard electrical power went off, air conditioner and engine still running; dealer will start working on vehicle Tuesday July 8, 1997.
