Two problems related to cruise control have been reported for the 1999 Chrysler Town & Country. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving the vehicle, the speed cruise control is not working properly, manufacturer has been notified. Please provide further information. Ts.
Cruise control does not work. When it is on and set it does not hold speed. If left on it will unexpectedly accelerate and then will not turn off with the brake. The only way to turn it off it at the steering switch. It was not working one night and the van acellertaed as I was changing lanes on ice. My reaction was to brake and van acelerated immediatley after I took my foot off the brake. Good thing I remembered quickly to use swithch at sterring wheel for there were other auto around. The chysler service center that I have taken my van to three times has not been able to diagnose this problem yet and therefore it is not fixed. I will continue to try and get the cruise control fixed . I never use my cruise control because it is so dangerous. I hope no others are injured discovering this porblem.
