Three problems related to service brakes have been reported for the 2000 Chrysler Town & Country. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I was driving in traffic and tried to stop applied brakes and the pedal went down to the floor. I had to veer to the right to prevent hitting car in front of me. This happened with my daughter driving several times before and she did not tell us. We put new brakes on the car and still have the problem.
Driving Chrysler town and country (2000) awd in heavy traffic. Clear conditions. Approximately 30 mph. Good distance to cars in front. Car in front slows suddenly, I apply brakes but van continues forward and hits the vehicle in front of me, which then hits another. In all, four vehicles are affected.
Vehicle vibrated when the brake was applied, dealer replaced the rotors and changed tire pressure, but the problem was still there.
