Two problems related to brake hoses, lines/piping, and fittings have been reported for the 2001 Chrysler Town & Country. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact owns a 2002 Chrysler town and country. The contact stated that the rear brake line ruptured, causing brake fluid to leak. The failure occurred three times. The contact had the brakes replaced each time and felt that there was a serious safety issue with the brake line. The contact called the manufacturer and was awaiting a response. The failure mileage was approximately 136,000.
While driving the driver applied the brakes and the pedal went to the floor. The driver continued to hold the brake pedal to the floor until vehicle came to a stop. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was determined that the hydraulic brake line was defective.
