One problem related to brake disc caliper has been reported for the 2004 Chrysler Town & Country. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact owns a 2004 town and country. While driving 35 mph the rotors overheated causing the brakes to fail. She took the vehicle to the garage twice for the failure and the mechanic replaced the rotors one time and the brake pads twice; however the failure was not corrected. The mechanic was unable to diagnose why the failure was not permanently corrected. She contacted the manufacturer and filed report 19248825. The manufacturer stated that there were no related recall for the town and country. She has not taken the vehicle the dealer to be diagnosed since she is concerned about the risk in driving the vehicle. The failure and current mileages were 31,000. Updated 03/01/10 the consumer stated after leaving the dealership and being told nothing was wrong, the brakes began to smoke and get hot. The consumer took the vehicle to a garage and the rotors, pads and calipers were replaced. Updated 09/14/10.
