One problem related to transmission gear slipping has been reported for the 2005 Chrysler Town & Country. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The first time this happened I almost had a head on collision while trying to pass. When pushing the gas pedal to the floor to pass, the van would not accelerate. Not only can I not accelerate to pass, I cannot accelerate to avoid an emergency situation. Apparently the transmission is slipping. While the dealer has replaced parts in the transmission it has not fixed the problem. The vehicle is under warranty, but Chrysler does not know how to fix it.
