Four problems related to air bag have been reported for the 2007 Chrysler Town & Country. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
I was parked in my vehicle in the parking lot at my job and an airbag in the rear spontaneously went off with no collision or anything anywhere near it. It shattered my rear window as it combusted.

The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 14v373000 (air bags, electrical system) however, the parts to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. Parts distribution disconnect.
Driving over a water puddle such as in a pot hole results in a splash of water that somehow causes the air bag warning lamp to come on. Doesn't happen often but has happened at least six times that I can recall in the last three years. Often when the vehicle is shut off then restarted the lamp doesn't stay on.
Tl - the contact owns a 2007 Chrysler Town & Country. The contact stated that the air bag warning lamp was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the clock spring was defective and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was serviced however, the repair failed to remedy the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure who did not offer any assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 18,468 and the current mileage was 20,000. Kmj updated 04/27/lj.
