One problem related to check engine light on has been reported for the 2007 Chrysler Town & Country. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Check Engine Light On problem

Failure Date: 09/18/2016

Every single time I fill up the gas tank, the car almost immediately after pulling out of the gas station sputters, stalls and becomes non-responsive. Last time (9/18/2016) I lost control of the car in the middle of the road and it completely stopped. Another time (early June, 2016), I drove into the freeway right out of the gas station and the engine stop responding, blocking entire traffic. The check engine light came on in few occasions and the code was (according to mechanic) is the fuel sensor malfunctioning. The strangest part is that once it stalls, I can restart the car and drive it without any problems until the next fueling. The mechanic could not find anything wrong but suggested that it was a design flaw due to vapor/liquid separator in the fuel tank and that he has seen this same problem in many Chryslers/jeeps made in late 2000s. While it drives fine, this problem put myself and my family in several dangerous situations in the middle of the traffic.
