Our 2009 Chrysler town and country is having major issues. The dashboard lights keep going on and off the speedometer won't work when this is happening also the windshield wipers go on automatically with me putting them on and won't stop. Sometimes while this occurs our automatic door won't operate or radio. We got a new alternator a new battery a new iod fuse and it's still happening I wasn't sure if this was a normal occurrence for Chryslers so I did some research my van isn't the only one with the same issues we unfortunately bought it used a few months ago and can't take it back to the lot.
Lt low beam comes on for 3 seconds when car is unlocked, then stays off most of the time. I've tried all switch positions. Occasionally it has come on for sustained periods but that hasn't happened for a while. I've wiggled the bulb connection with no effect. Checking on line, I found similar problems similar problems are happening. The dealer service dept. Acted ignorant of such problems and checked the recall list. I'm lucky, it only happens on one side, but I'm uneasy about when the other side goes out. Not to mention getting a citation for a non functioning safety item.
The vehicle dash lights and gauges will all flash and start beeping while the wipers continuously go on and off with no control. This only happened while vehicle was in park and either the driver side door was open but recently started doing this while driving. We took the van in to the dealership on 6/27 for the ignition switch recall and now the vehicle constantly does this while driving. The dealer was not able to complete troubleshooting due to time restrictions. I have seen many people online complaining of this same issue and some saying their vehicle will even shut off from time to time while driving and I am wondering why is this not being recalled?.
2009 Chrysler Town & Country. Consumer writes in regards to wireless ignition node module recall notice replacement parts and other vehicle issues. The consumer also stated the brake needed to be replaced, the dome light stayed on and the low washer fluid light illuminated.
I was driving down the street and the lights started to flicker and the car went dead.
While driving about 30mph in my neighborhood, all of a sudden, my van's horn started honking, the wind shield blades began wiping very quickly and water was spraying over the windshield. Also, the automatic locks were going up and down and the car lights and blinkers were flashing on and off uncontrollably. It was very scary! I stopped the car and shut off the engine, but everything continued. Luckily I was not far from home and was able to carefully drive it there. Once in the driveway, the only way to get the car to quit was to disconnect the battery. Waiting on repair report.
