While pulling out of a parking lot, with my foot on the brake, the vehicle began accelerating. This only lasted a brief second, but the vehicle jerked forward and drove over a parking block and off the curb. Soon thereafter, I began having issues with the headlights. I would turn the light switch to on. The lights flickered for a second, then shut off. I would toggle the light switch and would eventually would get the headlights to turn on. This issue became progressively worse to the point where they would shut off while I was driving. Needless to say, this presented a safety issue. Thankfully, I live only 10 minutes from where I work, and use the fog lights on well lit roadways to get back and forth, but obviously cannot drive the vehicle for long distances or on major highways and interstates during night time hours. While this issue got worse, the radio in the vehicle would unexplainable shut down. When this happens, I hear a sound like wires short circuiting from somewhere inside the dash. The same time the radio goes out, I noticed that the air conditioning, power windows, and door locks would also lose power. After researching all these issues through the internet and Chrysler forums, it seems the logical issue would be the t. I. P. M. ( total integrated power module). I am having the vehicle looked at in the next few days. My only concern is all the complaints regarding this module on Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles, and no safety recall had been issued. Thus is clearly a safety concern and should be addressed in a class action law suit.
Since the vehicle had been worked on for a bad intake gasket. Every time I cross any rail road crossings my check engine light illuminates and the car feels as it will stall. I am scared for my family of getting stuck, at least if anything does happen, I will have made this report for others.
My family purchased a 2010 Chrysler town and country in November 2014. The vehicle seemed to drive normally until sometime at the beginning of 2015 (I can always get exact dates of service) when it began to stall while driving. The stalling typically happens at low speeds ¿ less than 35 mph. It has stalled once in a 40 mph zone, but more often than not it happens on a residential street with a speed limit of 25 mph or less. As the vehicle stalls, the traction control light flashes and the power steering goes out. The car becomes unmanageable, and the only option for the driver is to attempt to pull over, come to a complete stop, place the vehicle in park, and restart. We have taken the car into the dealership a few times and once to an auto repair business unaffiliated with Chrysler. None of the technicians who have seen the car can diagnose the issue. They have tried to remedy the problem, but the repairs that were made were only guesses and did not fix the vehicle. We have another appointment with charlie¿s on August 1. This was the earliest ¿one of their best technicians¿ could see us. During this time we have also contacted the Chrysler, the manufacturer, to seek guidance. They are not able to provide any other than to tell us to reach out to the attorney general. Additionally, several websites\forums discuss this exact problem. It is not an isolated incident. . Experienced power steering failure (feeling was complete loss of steering) in following condition. While driving at about 40-45 mph and coming to middle lane for making a left turn approaching red light. Esc light came on. This has happened twice on this vehicle. Road condition: dry. I am worried that vehicle may loose complete control if this happens at highway driving speed. During both incident, use the key to turn off the ignition and power the vehicle back on and it started functioning as intended. There was no aggressive event or environment condition which should have triggered esc light upon loss of power steering.
Van unexpectedly shut down completely. Idle at red stop light, noticed traction control sensor was stuck on even though road conditions were normal, no rain, no snow so didn't think much of it. Seconds past, stop light turned green, went to drive via giving the car gas and nothing happened, brakes weren't being recognized, steering was extremely tight. Realized at that point that the van completely shut down (in drive! ignition on!) was able to coast to the side. Turned ignition to off, restarted. Now afraid to drive because I don't understand what happened. I could have totally been rear ended since this happened so suddenly. I was lucky to not be on a major street or roadway. Now I am getting no answers from Chrysler corp. I feel its part of this revised l25 recall I seen on NHTSA.

On multiple occasions over the last almost 3 years we've had issues with our vehicle dying when stopped or parked. It began in December 2014. We purchased the vehicle in August 2014. While driving to florida from michigan our check engine light came on. Then it turned off so we figured that the bulb was loose or something and we'd get it checked when we got back from vacation. On the way back the same thing happened with the check engine light coming on, going off but then it came back on and didn't turn off. Then the vehicle starts dying when we're stopped or parked. We're obviously concerned! I had to get an oil change after driving that far anyway so I brought it in. The said that the code was for a misfiring piston and I needed to take it into the shop right away. So I immediately drive it over to the dealership shop. They have it for a few days and tell me that nothing is wrong, the vehicle just needs a tune up and new wires, even though it doesn't even have 90k miles on it. They were going to charge us $700. We had my husband's cousin do it instead because he is a mechanic and doesn't charge us for labor. The problem doesn't go away. They tell us the cam shaft sensor is bad. We replace it. Doesn't fix it. They tell us the crank sensor is bad. We replace it. And on and on our goes with us replacing things and the dealership being unable to recreate the issue. For the years we've been dealing with that and a vehicle that cannot smoothly accelerate. It is impossible to quickly get up to speed and merge onto the highest because the vehicle bucks and shakes if you try to accelerate quickly to get up to speed. Then the check engine light flashes, traction control light comes on and a bell starts to ding until we pull over, shut off the vehicle and restart it. Nobody can tell us what is wrong and when the codes are scanned it doesn't match any code that Chrysler has.
My engine turns of while driving down the road in traffic , losing all power. . . . . My tailgate goes up and down randomly , while parked or driving. . . Can't understand why this doesn't qualify for recall when 600,000 others do . I'm in the same unsafe predicument as they are. .

In trying to find out what was causing my windshield washers to not work, after four visits to the dealer, it was determined that the tip module was bad. (probably causing other problems that I had not checked about). The part is going to cost 850. 00 and is not available due to the inability of the manufacturer to supply the parts fast enough because of the high demand. This car only has 13,000 miles but is four years old so out of warranty. I think due to the large incidence of failure of this part, there should be some compensation or recall information.

Car shut off while driving. Called Chrysler direct was told its not covered under recall no. L02 & l25. Also contacted local dealer ferrario's(in towanda PA) about this recall they said they can't get the parts to fix it. Their response was drive straight and don't hit bumps. Told Chrysler hotline the comments all I get from them is "it's not covered under the recall & we suggest to get it fixed and hold on to all receipts to see if it will be covered at a future date. Isn't this like the gm recall that has killed people?.
I was coming home from work and when I parked in the driveway, put the car in park, turned the key off the key would not go into the off position and I couldn't get the key out. I had to start the car 3 or 4 times, take it out of park and put it back in park again. Finally on the 3rd or 4th try the ignition switch worked. It has been happening more frequently since may.

We have had several issues that vehicle will not start. Key turns but ignition seems to not acknowledge and fails to start vehicle. Happened even on a ferry one day. So far, no towing has been necessary. Very worried that if its an ignition issues, what if while driving it fails to keep car moving? we drive a lot of miles to and from FL and it is very concerning. My local mechanics cannot find any issues and I feel Chrysler has not addressed properly.

Pavement was wet and went to stop quickly. Abs was enabled for a few seconds then the system shorted, leaving only standard brakes. The abs light, traction control and engine lights came one. The abs system would no longer function. Traction control would not function. This was very evident on ice. Speedometer would not read out. The speedometer would be at zero then when driven the vehicle would ding about every 5 minutes and speedometer would go up and down to zero again. The engine and transmission would not shift correctly. It would always seem to drive in a higher gear. The odometer would no longer function. The electric van doors would not work when the vehicle was running. They would work when vehicle was off. Took van to dealer for repair. The abs control module was faulty and had corrosion on the connections which needed to be replaced. The van was absolutely worthless until this was replaced which cost $850.

My wife was driving alone, north bound on I 65 south of louisville, kentucky when the back end of the vehicle swayed and she proceeded to slow down and pull off by driving on to the right berm. A tractor which was mowing the grass the side of the road swung up onto the pavement and my wife ran into it. The tractor driver was ejected from the tractor. The front end of the Town & Country received extensive damage and the insurance company stated that the vehicle was totaled. My wife received extensive bruises to her right side, and her forehead struck the steering wheel. Both bones in her left arm were broken, probably due to the fact that the air bag did not deploy. She was taken to the hospital in louisville, kentucky. Two days later surgery was required as plates and screws were installed in her left arm to hold the bones together and a cast applied. Inspection of the front seat after the accident showed that the horn in the steering wheel still worked but the cover of the air bag in the steering wheel was still secured.

I have a new town and country it is now 9 months old. I started having problems with the car approximately 4 months after purchase. I was just driving down the road and the car stalled it just shuts off there is no warning at all. This has happened on several different occasions. I have had the car back to the dealer on several different occasions for this problem. It happened to me once while I was turning out onto a busy road and the car stalled right at the on ramp to the highway. I was with my two children in the car. I drove the car to the dealer the next day and told them I would not drive it anymore they needed to figure it out. They took the car but, when I got it back within a week it happened again. I have also had trouble with the tire pressure monitor system coming on constantly but, there is nothing wrong with the tires. Also I was away with my family but, I was again alone with my children and we pulled into a kohls parking lot in new jersey and the car shut off and would not turn back on. I could not lock or unlock the vehicle. Nothing worked I called the dealer because I was in a n unfamiliar place and they got me to road side assistance. While I waited for road side assistance the car just started again on its on. This has now happened on 2 different occasions. When driving on the highway now when I put on the brakes the whole car shakes. I have had this vehicle in to the dealer at least 5 or 6 times for all of these problems that are never resolved. This is a brand new car and I do not feel safe driving around with my kids in it. I have also contacted Chrysler at their vehicle complaint department and have gotten no satisfaction there either.
