Northtown Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram (2020 niagara falls blvd, tonawanda, NY) informed the contact that due to the vehicle modification for handicap usage, the wiring caused the failure. The manufacturer was not notfied. The failure mileage was approximately 82.
The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler town and country. While slowing down to approximately 15 mph, the contact lifted off the accelerator pedal and the vehicle suddenly experienced unintended acceleration and surged forward. The contact stopped the vehicle and turn off the engine. After restarting the engine, the vehicle operated as normal. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who was unable to duplicate the failure and no repairs were performed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 4,000.
