The contact owns a 2001 Chrysler Voyager. When operating the vehicle, the horn would occasionally stop working and eventually stopped operating permanently. In addition, the air bag sensor intermittently illuminated while operating the vehicle. The sensor permanently remained illuminated after starting the vehicle. The cause of the failures was not diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 105,000.
I own a 2001 Chrysler Voyager. We have noticed that recently when we turn the wheel, the airbag light comes on, while we are driving.
Air bag sensor light kept turning on especially during any turn. Dealer replaced defective clock spring. Says that this was a recall item for 1998-2000 Voyagers but not 2001. Called Chrysler and they refused to negotiate. I think it is shameful that Chrysler knows it has a problem based on previous years models but forces consumer to pay for repair.
Daughter, friend and her 22 mo. Old daughter were about to leave the mall parking lot when the passenger side air bag deployed. Although there were no physical injuries, they were obviously shaken by the experience. Heard on abc news about Chrysler recall on other models for similar problem. Then went to internet to get more information.
I have a 2001 Chrysler Voyager minivan and the company did a recall for the 1998-2000 for problems with the air bags not deploying. The light for the air bag will come on because there is a malfunction with the system. If the light is on the bag will not deploy if you are in an accident. I think that the company should have to fix because our vehicle is having the same problem as the years that they recalled.
My air bag light go on and off all the time. I am afraid the bag will come out at any time or may not come out when I really need it(like in an accident). I have never need it yet, but who know what the future holds. The light also get on my nerves.
