Takata recall I own a 2002 Chrysler Voyager minivan. At about 85,000 miles I noticed the airbag light on the dashboard was coming on sporadically. Eventually it started remaining on all the time from the moment I started the ignition. I took it to a local Chrysler dealer to have it inspected. They told me there was a problem with the clock spring and that it needed to be replaced and would cost me about $350. Earlier reproductions of this model have been recalled for problems with clock springs but mine is not because it was manufactured two years too late.

The horn and cruise control stopped working and the airbag light came on. It would not pass inspection. It happend while in motion and stationary. They said that the clock spring was broken and needed to be replaced. There is a recall on the 1996-1998 models for the broken clockspring but not the 2001. I see lots of comments that this is an issue beyond those model years included in the recall. They need to extend the recall beyond 1998 since this is an issue with more than those 2 years!.

Air bag light flash on and then turns off and then stays on. When going over potholes it also comes on and stays on for long periods of times.
Around end off2013 my airbag lights off and on ,when driving the airbag lights went off, then came back on. On 2014 I took the vehicle to the mechanic shop and replace the parts inside the steering airbag timer clock. At present milelage 88,000. Hardly drive, garage kept. Please tell me what should I do or any sensor link to the airbag lights.
Air bag light does not go out and horn won't work. Chrysler had recall on clockspring for prior years but not 2001.
The contact owns a 2001 Chrysler Voyager. While the contact was driving approximately 70 mph, the air bag warning indicator illuminated on the instrument panel and remained illuminated until the engine was turned off. The failure would occur whenever the engine was in operation. The manufacturer issued a voluntary recall pertaining to the clock spring for vehicle model years 1998-2000. The vehicle was in the process of being repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the malfunction. The approximate failure mileage was 177,000.
The failure came suddenly. One day, while driving, the airbag light illuminated and then was extinguished a few minutes after. The second or third time it on remained lit permanently. I immediately reported to the garage in which I bought the car on occasion. Could find the failure. He asked me to go directly to the Chrysler dealer. The failure has not repaired, even the cruise control and the horn are inoperative. I can no longer take the vehicle. I called the Chrysler dealer in region to talk him about it. He told me that this failure, without any other failure will be charged around 300-350 euros because my car is no longer on safety warranty and it is also not affected by the recall of the Chrysler Voyager for those same failures. The charge is very expensive for me. It is then I try to find help on internet that I came across your website. That is my entire problem. Three major problems:
1 - airbag light illuminated permanently
2 - speed control (cruise control) non functional
3 - horn inoperative.

In the beginning, it began with the airbag light intermittent views. But quickly, a few kilometers later this light remained lit permanently. At the time, the cruise control works once on three, and then after nothing. The airbag light remains lit continuously, the cruise control does not work, and worse the horn is inoperative. I can no longer take the vehicle. I called the Chryslerã‚s dealer in my region who told me that this will be charged at around 300 euros because my vehicle is not affected by the recall of the Chrysler Voyager for those same failures. It is then by searching on the internet I came across your site sorry for my approximate english. I speak better french. Note: I write from france, but my country is not listed bellow, so I am to choose a town and phone number from America to fit the formular.
Airbag light intermittent will driving.
Airbag lit stays light al the time, was told it was a bad sensor, there was never a recall for it. You would think there would be since its a safety feature 'air bag light'. The check engine light stays lit too, that has been on since my car had a tuneup done was also told that was a bad sensor . The dealer should recall these features I've heard there was alot of the same problem other people were having too.
The contact owns a 2002 Chrysler Voyager. Soon after the vehicle was purchased, the air bag light illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer three or four times regarding this failure. After regularly servicing her vehicle, she has had to replace the front and rear brakes at 20,000 and 40,000 miles. The dealer stated that the brakes needed to be replaced again at 70,000 miles. Two weeks after her vehicle had been inspected and while driving 5 mph, the transmission snapped in half. The vehicle had to be pushed off the road and then towed to a mechanic. The mechanic confirmed that the front and rear brakes needed to be replaced and stated that any part that was contaminated by the transmission failure had to be replaced. The vehicle is currently with the mechanic and repairs currently total $1,400. The contact is scheduled to have arbitration with the dmv. The purchase date and powertrain were unknown. The current and failure mileages were 77,000.
Air bag light came on intermittently for a few weeks now stays on more often than not failure could mean death for me, my wife and my children we are bring the vehicle in to have the problem fixed our mechanic says he has seen the problem before it is the clock spring.
: the contact stated the airbag light illuminated. The dealership was unable to determine the problem, but replaced the passenger side seatbelt in an attempt to repair. A week later, the airbag light illuminated again and the dealership was unable to determine a problem.
I have 2001 Chrysler Voyager. Problem is when I turn my wheel the air bag light comes on. The problem is the clock spring. I found out that there was a recall on this item between 1998-2000. The dealer is not going to take responsibility for it. I had this problem about 2 years after I purchased the car. I like to file an official complaint.
The air bag light blinked on and off intermittently. The consumer was told the vehicle had a defective clock spring.
Air bag light is always on. I was told it was sensors. Had it repaired but always comes back on and the minute I start the car it stays on until I shut off car. Have other complaint in but forgot to add this. Do not know what type of airbags they are. How do I find out if takata?.
The air bag light illuminated intermittently when making turns while driving. Dealer was notified. Please provide any further information.
The air bag light comes on and a bell chimes while driving. After a short interval the light will go off only to come back on later. The service department at Chrysler in milford, PA said it can not be checked out unless it remains on to be checked for a computer read out. The service attendant informed me that the air bag would not discharge when the light is on and I should hope I am not in an accident during this moment. This puts the driver and the passenger at risk during the time the airbag is not working. A customer following me had the same problem and received the same answer. This is a safety problem and I would like you to investigate and find a possible solution. Thank you.
