Genie is recalling certain tz-34 and tz-50 trailer mounted aerial work platform booms, manufactured from January 1, 2010, through may 1, 2011, because the motor controller can fail. This component was also installed as a service part replacement on tmz 34/19 and tmz 50 units as part number 96769 and kit 99854 from January 1, 2010, through August 7, 2011. This recall is an expansion of a previous recall. Please see recall campaign number 11v-373.

Genie will notify owners and dealers will repair the vehicles free of charge. The safety recall began on March 8, 2012. Owners may contact genie's service department at 1-800-536-1800.
