Hi my name is [xxx] and I’m 28 years old and a full time single mom of 2 girls 24/7 and in February I bought a 2008 Dodge Avenger 2. 7 and the day I drove it home the check engine light came on and well long story short there it took them a month to “fix” the issue and 3 days later after getting my car back after not having it for a month the check engine light came on again…needless to say here it is almost September 7 months later and there has many endless problems and the car dealership will not return my phone calls or texts or emails about my car and wanting to trade it in for another one on there lot !!! they are crooked people and shouldn’t be a business I have so much proof information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
As I was driving on the highway the car automatically got into limp mode. Into a computer protection to protect the transmission. The computer is also freshly brand new.
I was driving my Dodger Avenger and the axial broke underneath. It was an original part and I haven't been able to get another original part to replace it from mopar without it being able to fit.
I was driving along the freeway and the car just automatically went into limp mode. I change the oil I flush everything then when I went on to the kelly book blue book to try to sell it as saying that it had a bunch of recalls welcome to find out Chrysler saying it doesn't so I don't know what's going on with my car and neither do mechanics.
Takata recall. - I am approximately 2 years old with the light from the driver's airbag turned on all the time. I had it reviewed and I was informed that it is a defect in the bag and that it will not be opened in the event of an incident. Two years have passed and no revision is called for replacement. With the shift lever I was sent by Chrysler a notice to carry out a revision, I did it and today after 2 years being in a street stopped and trying to make the change to drive I could never move it I just got stuck and could not drive more. How many more times will I have to call to do something about it? because I had to pay my composure and Chrysler refused to reimburse me for that money arguing that my car is no longer guaranteed !!!!!.
Upon acceleration to enter highway vehicle continued to accelerate as tho the throttle was to the floor. Almost rear ended car in front of me. Had to apply brakes and turn on caution lights and pull over. Engine seemed as tho it was going to blow up. Very scary. Upon further inspection it seems as tho Dodge/Chrysler rushed production of the intake components to get cars to show room in all 08 with these intakes. Chrysler later fixed the problem in all future vehicles. Problem lies in cheap components in the runner flap assembly on the intake manifold. Problem throws code p2008 and code p2017. Flap sticks open and increases horsepower without intent of driver. Chrysler knows about this problem because they fuxed it in future cars. I am sure all of these cars have this faulty component and therefore; depending on how and where it fails it can be extremely dangerous.
When I bought the vehicle the check engine light was on. I asked the dealer and he said he was just sitting for awhile when I drove away it was off then 2 weeks later came back on. When I took it to eurozone they told me it was the heads need replaced that's 2900. 00. I looked to see if this part was recalled and if it had been replaced on my vehicle I am unable to see where if at all this has been addressed by the Dodge makers??? I love my vehicle I just want it to run like its suppose to also my tire light is on and have replaced all tires and still will not go off even after being reset. Also my car has an antifreeze smell like the car is hot but never shows that in the temp gauge it's getting hot at all. Please someone give me some info on what I can do to fix these problems???? now the new light is my brake light illuminates when I am driving then shuts itself off.

I was stopped at an intersection in my subdivision to let some kids cross the street. All of a sudden, the engine slowed down like it was going to die and then sped up. The car started to lurch forward. I pushed the brake down the rest of the way to keep the car from running over the kids.
Tire pressure monitoring system indicator light came on. Every since I have been having various problem with this car. Such as engine rough idling/stalling, transmission issues, tire pressure monitor don't work, engine won't start/dead battery. Just a lot of unusual problems. I be driving the vehicle city or highway. Don't matter whether I am driving straight or turning. This vehicle will stall in the middle of the road. Yet stall right back up. All started after the tire pressure monitoring light came on. I believe it has something to do with the tire monitor system. I have been taken chances, hoping that it will go away like it started. My repair service can't fine the problem and said to check for recalls. These unsafe conditions have been going on for a while. Help needed.

We have been having a lot of problems with our car lately. First problem we had was with our alarm system. The alarm has gone off on us both when the car is off and when the car is on. The horn starts and won't go off until after about 5 minutes no matter what we do. We have try turning it of with our key alarm, turning the car on and off, unlocking the doors but nothing seems to work. Yesterday we were driving our car and the car stall and we were lucking to be able to pull to the side safetly since we were coming to a stop. After a couple attempts, we got the car back on and running. I have search this problem and I found that it could be the tpms. As to what we have experience with the car lately, we are almost sure it is this. We contacted the dealership and we were told that this recall was perform back in April of 2008 and are not responsible for anything the car is going through now and will not replace the part for us again. Can you please let me know if the dealership is required to switch this part for us again since our car is not safe to drive or if we would have to solve this problem.

Powertrain control module for Dodge Avenger on backorder due to faulty system - part not available from Chrysler dealerships because of huge influx of requests for this part - requesting that this be considered as a recall situation.
Got home, put car in park & let go of the brake. Noticed I was rolling backwards so I quickly pushed on the brake. Looked on my dash & it indicated the car was in reverse, so I pushed on the gear shifter to make sure it was pushed all the way up, which it was. I then turned the car off & tried to turn it back on. The car then wouldn't start 7 the gears would not change. Looked online, seen there was a common issue with the pink plastic piece connected to the gear. Pushed the pink plastic piece in & it allowed me to switch gears when it was held in but I am still unable to crank my car & even when the gears are switched the dashboard says the car is still in reverse. Looked up recalls & sure enough there is a recall but of course when I entered my car information it doesn't apply to my car. I also have replaced the alternator 4 times in 3 years. I was told that it is a poor design that causes the alternator to wear down & lock up so quickly. I will ever buy another chrystler Dodge vehicle in my life. This car has by far been the worst investment of my life. I really hope something happens to get these cars off of the road forever before they end up killing someone due to the highly poor design of everything in them!.
I parked my car in the garage, the shifter was clearly in park, then I got out of my car and went into the house to make dinner, and my wifes doctors office called with a subscription, I hit the garage door opener and it would not open, and it started flashing, the car rolled into it on its own, I got into the car and tried to start it with the gear-shift in park and it would not, looked in the heads-up display and it showed it was in neutral and the car was rolling freely. If this would have happened in a public parking lot this situation could have been very serious.
I have a 2008 Dodge Avenger 2. 4 cylinder. My starter has been replacing four times in less than forty day time frame, yes that is what I said. The car cut off on me while driving without any warning while I was on the interstate, fortunate for me and another account grandchild didn't get killed. Dodge-land of columbia, SC miss diagnosed and endangered me and on one account my then three year old grand baby, now four as of Feb 2nd. I voiced my concerns asked if they checked wiring or see if something electrical; I said it doesn't make since, something is shorting or causing the starter to burn out, did you'll check. Dodge-land said it's fixed now you don't have to worry, getting me to entrusted in what they say and believe, I did. Bill reassured me it was fixed said we checked it, it's not wiring, or nothing else, it's not electrical, pmc it¿s your starter, we checked it everything. Bill (service tech) said it was your starter, you don't have to worry we fixed it. ( fourth time now) fourth time Dodge-land said contacted Chrysler and was told they have a problem with that model computer component, module, I will have to pay a little over $800. To have it replaced Chrysler will not replace it for free. (safety recall) I am outraged and amazed, because that is an outright safety recall or should be. Please help me with my problem. I have papers from dpdge-land, it has all my personal information on them.

The intake manifold runner control is showing as "stuck open" causing the check engine light to be lit up and the car cannot be inspected. I have replaced this part 3 times in 3 years.
