My vehicle stalled, started shaking, shut down and lost power while driving. The following three warning lights came on; 1) malfunction indicator light (mil); 2) electronic throttle control (etc); and 3) electronic stability control (esc). I have noticed that the car seems to stall when I put it in drive and take off is slow. It takes me several blocks to just reach 30 mph. The car also feels as if it is lunging but resumes a slow pace. Take off is extremely slow when I stop for traffic lights. The engine seems to lose pressure. The car will rev and accelerate on its own even with the brake pedal being pressed. My car started sputtering in traffic, the car revved up like I was pressing on the gas. Then yesterday I experienced immediate loss of power in the vehicle & the inability to increase speed, almost causing me to be involved in an accident. My vehicle slowed to approximately 10 - 20 mph. The manufacturer has not addressed this faulty problem and needs to address immediately!!!!! my life matters and so does everyone else's life and those of their family!!!! what is really upsetting to me is that this is a known problem that has been reported repeatedly by others who have had this situation!!! my life matters and so does everyone else's life and those of their family!!!!.

The contact stated that the recall notice for NHTSA campaign number: 13v552000 (engine) was received. The failure mileage was 36,000.
The vehicle's heater blows cold air on the passenger side and warm air from the drivers side simultaneously. All vents ( foot area, face area, and windshield area) are affected.
A few weeks ago I was turning and trying to accelerate when my electronic throttle control light went on. The car lost power but after I took my foot off the gas petal the light turned off and I got power back to the car. Took it to get the computer on but no codes came back. Tonight I was merging into the highway when etc the check engine and the abs lights came on. The car lost power and I couldn't go faster then 50mph. I got back to the house turned the car off then back on and no lights are on. I'm not sure what to do. If the lights aren't on the computer won't pick up any error codes. Also my car already has a recall on the airbags. Is this an electrical problem?.
Passenger side air vents do not blow heat while driver side vents will blow heat. Also, while the heat met is on and driving combining to a stop the heater makes a grinding noise and bubbling sound. I have heard this is a common issue that Dodge refuses to acknowledge to fix. This needs to go on review for a recall.
While driving on highway (55 mph), dashboard lights flashed on and vehicle lost all power suddenly without notice. All power steering, brakes and electrical power was lost. This happened without prior warning. Vehicle losing all power suddenly while driving could have caused a fatal accident and should be addressed why no warning was given as to any issues the vehicle may have been experiencing.
Car overheats when stopped in heavy traffic on highway (bumper to bumper, rush hr. )and on local streets at traffic lights. Cooling fans not coming on. Had it towed to a garage and they told me that it was a problem with cooling system that was under recall. I contacted dealership who asked for my VIN # and said there was no recalls on my vehicle pertaining to the cooling system.
Air bag light goes off and on while driving. It can stay on for several minutes then turn off and back on again. Car has 60,000 miles. Local dealership tells me it will cost over 120 to diagnose. I worry about the safety of this problem if the vehicle is to get into an accident.
While stationary, several attempts to start the vehicle failed. The electronic throttle control (etc) indicator light and the malfunction indicator light (mil) were both illuminated for every failed attempt. The dashboard lights would flicker on and off accompanied by a clicking sound while attempting to start the engine. The atmospheric condition was humid and cool. There was condensation present on the vehicle. Several hours later, attempted to start the vehicle. It had a weak ignition with the instruments lights briefly dimming, but the engine started. Attempted additional start-up cycles to check if the engine would start again. The engine started each time. The atmospheric condition during the second set of start-up attempts was warm and humid. No condensation was present on the vehicle.
While driving the vehicle around 30mph the vehicle loss some power and dropped to 10-15mph. Drove to the side of the road and turned vehicle off to see if it would stop. Turned car on with no trouble then started driving then the problem occurred again.

Clicking noise from behind the glove box when changing from heat t hvac. Research points to a blend door which is a known problem to Chrysler. Also makes same noise when not running which could pose a fire hazard. Needs to be checked before it starts a fire and someone is hurt. . Car can be stationary or moving see no recall but we need one this is unsafe.
I purchased my Dodge Avenger brand new in 2013. After two years of having my car, my car started to not want to turn on. I would continue to try and sometimes it would work and not other times. I went to get the battery checked and was told it was fine. I then went to a dealership and they said I probably needed to get a fuel injector done so I did this as well and my car still time to time will not start. 2nd my left side body panel one day just popped out of place and when I would go to shut my door it would make a clicking sound from me trying to shut it. I was not in a wreck, there is no explanation as to why my panel popped out of place. 3. My car is now not blowing heat out (and its winter right now) I only noticed this once it became cold out and needed to use it. First couple times I tried running the heat it would do so but only on the driver side. The passenger side was blowing out cold air. I had a auto shop look into this and they said they didn't see anything even wrong with any of it. But that they would need to do a diagnostic beforehand which is going to cost me $195 then I can go from there. . I keep seeing where a lot of Avengers are having the same problems with there heating system. . Could this be all from a manufacturing problem with the heater core??.

Purchased car 7/11/2013: (the 7,000 miles is a guesstimate) 11/21/2013 while in wv for my mothers funeral, parked in gas station, car running, in park, l/r turn signals started flashing independently then the flashers started going off, stopped by themselves. This has continued, took to dealership, they couldn't find any codes, all connections looked ok. Started keeping a log of milage when this happens, starting on 1/4/2014 mileage 10,254 and has continued to current date 4/30/2014. This may happen only once but then again it may happen several times within the same milage. Can not count the times it happens while car is parked in the driveway with keys in the house and no one touching them. I believe it's the cluster in the steering column. Also, I could not get my wipers to spray/wipe until I turned the turn signals on. Has anyone else had this happen?.
