Alternator/generator/regulator problems of the 2014 Dodge Avenger

The contact owns a 2014 Dodge Avenger. While parked, the vehicle failed to start and the engine and tire pressure light illuminated. The failure recurred intermittently. The contact stated that the vehicle had to be jumpstarted in order to be driven. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the alternator and the battery need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 42,000.
