Nine problems related to warning light on have been reported for the 1996 Dodge Caravan. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Horn stopped working also when air bag warning light came on.
Ea-01-007. When making a left or right turn, air bag warning light flashes on and off, and at times remains illuminated. Consumer has contacted dealer. Dealer replaced the clock spring.
Pe00032; air bag clock spring:intermittently operated. Air bag warning light was flashing on and off for about two weeks. Finally, air bag warning light stayed on. Clock spring assembly and control module was replaced by the dealership, at owner's expense. A few days later, owner saw newspaper article about investigation.
Air bag warning light came on, dealer advised failed air bag module, not covered by either standard warranty or extended warranty. Part failed for reasons unknown. This is clearly a defect, but manufacturer refuses to effect repair without charge to consumer. Noted another complaint with same problem. Recommend opening of defect investigation.
Air bag warning light illuminated/ horn and cruise control inoperable/ suspension control arm worn out, and windshield wiper pivots and arms worn out.
Air bag warning light is illuminated on dash panel, horn dose'nt work and cruise control are not working. This is due to a bad clock spring. Dealr has been contacted.
While driving air bag warning light came on and stayed on. When this occurred the horn and the cruise control became inoperative.
