40 problems related to air bag light on have been reported for the 1999 Dodge Caravan. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Air bag light illuminated/ problems with clockspring. Consumer had no horn and need her brakes repaired as well. Ph.
The air bag light illuminated on the dash board, and the horn and cruise control were inoperative.
Air bag light illuminated and the horn stopped functioning. Vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the mechanic determined that air bag clock spring caused the front air bags to deactivate, and the horn to malfunction.
Intermittently air bag light and the oil light illuminated, and vehicle made a chiming noise when starting. The lights and the chiming continued for 5 to 15 minutes. Dealer could not duplicate or determine the problem.
Air bag light came on and stayed on while vehicle was being driven. However, speed control/horn assembly, and heat system failed to operate. Vehicle was serviced, and clockspring was replaced.
